Achron can still be technically purchased, but the multiplayer matchmaking server has been shut down and Hazardous software has been offline since 2017.
The game is a really unique Piece of experimental software. It is infuriatingly complicated, further muddled by unintuitive controls. atrocious pathfinding, and some of the ugliest graphics I've ever seen. Despite all this, it would be nice to be able to breath some life into this genuinely unique RTS.

The game follows the movies very closely and even got scenes from the films appear in game. Not only does the game contain a giant campaign where you play through the journey of the ring as the good side, the game also features an evil campaign where as the players play as the evil forces of Middle Earth.
