Back in 1998, it wasn't among the greats of its time, Bio F.R.E.A.K.S. definitely tried its best. Detailed 3D fighting on home consoles was technology was still developing. The game is about a B - overall. Still worth preserving for it was evidence of the early days how drastically things had changed since the release of the Nintendo 64 back in 1996.
This is a weird fighting game to talk about. It's meant to be more of an early arena style fighting game. Every character has flight as well as a method to shoot projectiles. You also can decapitated body parts off your opponents similar to Time Killers just done a little better. This was also the ending to a rather interesting era. Midway attempted recreated Mortal Kombat's success with a few fighting games. They actually canceled the Arcade version while shipping out the console versions. Just knowing that we were lucky to get this game at all. The intro is often the highlight of the entire game. Somehow it just works amazingly well. I also gotta say the final boss is just plain unfair. I did respect what they tried to do. The game tried to mimic MK's cyborg characters concept with virtually every character imaginable. Sure this barely has much to offer. At the same time, I do see some people finding enjoyment in playing this game. It's crazy I grew up with this, War Gods, Mace: The Dark Age and both versions of ClayFighter 63 1/3 no joke. Keep in mind, I didn't even own a single MK game on the system growing up. You could say I had plenty of games to make up for that. Honestly, it's not a bad fighting game. It's just tricky to explain how it truly plays like even after you play it thing.

Bloody Roar 4
Bloody Roar 4During the XGC (X-Genome Code) Incident one year ago, riots raged over the earth by beasts that did not show the XCG, and all over the country small earthquakes shook the land. The cause was unknown, but as the Crest Incident came to an end and the rioting and earthquakes subsided, people began to claim that all was due to the influence of the Stone Seal. Although the Stone Seal has been locked away, the rioting and earthquakes have returned. This time, the incidents are on a larger scale than those of a year ago. What could be behind it all? Bloody Roar 4 is the last title in the series, and is once again a full-3D fighting game featuring the series' trademark transformation abilities. Unlike previous titles in the series, the beast gauge now acts as its own health bar; if a character's health gauge is depleted, they will automatically transform. The game features 18 playable fighters and a variety of game modes, including standard arcade, versus, time-attack, training, and survival modes. Of special mention is the career mode, in which fighting battles will earn so-called "DNA points," which can be spent on abilities and equipment to customize a character for use in other modes.

Killer Instinct 2
Killer Instinct 2Killer Instinct 2 follows on from the plot line that the previous installment ended with. Eyedol's death at the hands of Orchid accidentally sets off a time warp, transporting some of the combatants back in time and allowing the Demon Lord Gargos to escape from Limbo. Now, trapped 2000 years in the past, the warriors that survived Killer Instinct, along with several new faces, fight for the right to face Gargos in combat, but Chief Thunder, Cinder and Riptor did not return. Each character that survived the journey from the first game has a corresponding background story, while new characters on this installment are native inhabitants of this past time period. Some fighters, like T.J. Combo who survives from the original, just want to get home. Others, like new character Tusk, want to bring an end to Gargos and his reign of evil. This time there is no tournament or prize money, just a fight to the finish with the fate of the future hanging in the balance.
