Sailor Moon S is a foundational game by Arc System Works of Guilty Gear fame. Besides giving them a place to stretch their legs, it's a good fighting game. I love guard cancels and backdashes and they make the game super interesting. It would rock if they had to bring the game out of its Licensed, Japan-exclusive jail.

This is my favorite fighting game ever made. I've played it for a ridiculous amount of time and traveled across the USA just to play it with more people. Sadly, it's a 30 year old Licensed Super Famicom game. The hassle of getting everything together has gotten easier over the years, but it's still a nightmare compared to just having a modern port that is ready to go. It would also be great to enjoy the game with reliable Rollback Netcode!!

Battle Queen: Saikyou Fighters Retsuden
Battle Queen: Saikyou Fighters RetsudenBattle Queen is all about fights between beautiful young women. In the beginning of the game the player is given the option to choose one of the three available fighters. Each one has an introduction story. Sayaka witnesses the murder of her father, a circus acrobat, by a witch known as Lavender; her story begins with a fight against her. Mai's and Mercedes' stories are one and the same; they are fighting for dominance in modern-day Japan, and fight each other in the first round of their stories. Despite looking like a fighting game, Battle Queen is strategy-, not action-oriented. The fights are turn-based. The player can choose between different moves, including four kinds of attack, jump, defend, special attacks, etc. Special attacks can only be executed after performing a sufficient amount of other moves. Each move is displayed as an anime-style image. The girls lose parts of their clothes when being hit. Defeating the opponent results in a sex scene.

Kaiser Knuckle
Kaiser KnuckleKaiser Knuckle follows the same fighting game conventions established by Street Fighter II. The player's character fights against his or her opponent in best two-out-of-three matches in a single player tournament mode with the computer or against another human player. The player has a character roster of nine fighters to choose from, and three bosses, each with their own unique fighting style and special techniques. The control layout is set to the six-button standard (a la most Capcom fighting games), but it can be switched to a five-button layout via dip settings. One unique feature is that Kaiser Knuckle was the first and only fighting game that has five strengths of basic attacks. Another unique feature is that it introduced the power zones, which can be utilized via a successful hit of a special move when a player's "Crush Meter" is full. The power zones (either fire or electric) can affect the certain special move a character has. Backgrounds can be destructible when players get hit to charge up, and when those meters are full, the next special move that a player connects with his/her opponent will destroy the background's properties at will (other parts of stages, such as floors and walls are also destructible).

Super Godzilla
Super GodzillaSuper Godzilla is a 16-bit Godzilla game where the player can take control of Toho's famous big green lizard as they rampage through Japan. The game is divided into two main gameplay modes, Movement and Battle. Movement has the player travel through the city using the D-pad and a map located on the bottom of the screen with the objective being to destroy certain objectives such as enemy humans and buildings as well as pick up power-ups. There is an animation in the screen above the map that shows the results of their movements and attacks. Battle mode kicks in when the player locates an enemy on the map, like Biollante or Mechagodzilla, and is taken to a side-scrolling cinematic-style battle where the player must use punches, tail whips and the famous fire breath to drain the energy of the opposing monster. However, the Fighting Spirit system is present which is in a sense a morality meter where the player must pick the right attacks at the right time in order to connect certain attacks. Choosing the wrong attacks or failing to connect with them will cause the meter to drop and make Godzilla more vulnerable to attack.
