After falling in love with RPGs with the first Breath of Fire, my brother and I perused an early 1996 issue of GamePro (the one with Spinal from Killer Instinct on it) at the local K-Mart and we FLIPPED when we saw a sequel, Breath of Fire II, was available on SNES! I got it shortly after for my 7th birthday and it's remained one of my favorite games of all time. Lovely pixel art, fun and challenging turn-based combat, a custom town building sidequest, shamans that enhance and morph your party into utter badasses, multiple interesting modes of transporation, lovable characters, rockin' battle themes, and an emotional and whimsical story that'll make you laugh and cry and send shivers down your spine. It's my ultimate comfort game and I wish more people could experience it on GOG through emulation, port, remaster, remake, what-have-you!
Man was i ever excited when i first saw images of this game in my egm magazine. I bet i was pretty annoying to anyone around me lol. I was so excited that i suddenly had so much energy and wanted to tell all my friends. I remember saving up money to buy this game through bits and bytes that was adventerised in my gamepro magazine because where i lived i for some reason couldnt find the game. I sent out a money order to them and apparently i was short by 10$ or so but they still shipped the game to me (much appeciated), i will never forget this day, when i opened the box i immediately started crying uncontrollably lol. Another awesome game in the series and even loved it more than the first.

Breath of Fire 2 was the first RPG I ever played, and also the game that made me fall in love with the genre. I played from 1 to 4 and am fascinated by their stories. For almost six months, I rented that cartridge every week from the game store in my town, and in the end, the store owner sold it to me for a bargain since I was the only one renting Breath of Fire 2. To this day, I have fond memories of playing on my tube TV in my small room, late at night, exploring and conquering every inch of this magnificent game. If a collection were released, I’d buy it instantly and play them all again.

One of the best NES JRPGs ever made. I'd love to see it brought to modern systems with all of its original translation errors fixed! I have several runs of this game on my Wii through virtual console, all at different points in my life. I'd love to cement this chapter of my life with one more!

I remember that a magazine had featured the game coming up in release(can't remember if it was Nintendo Power or EGM) and was hooked on the characters and specially dragons. BoD2 is my favorite of all 5 games and seeing Ryu running forward on the bridge towards DeathEvan was epic. A remake or remaster IS in order please. I still remeber that I bought it at my local Sears store.

I was never able to play the Breath of fire series at all, so this would be an awesome opportunity to be able to play one of the games that has eluded my entire childhood!

I remember my uncle showing me this when I was like 6 years old, in 2006, I never knew what were happening but the music, animation and the characters just kept me so locked in. Throught the years I forgot a little about it, but when I clocked in again at like, the age of 12/14 I played it every year. It's my favorite RPG of all time, it's simple storywise, but the vibes and everything that it meant to me is what make it special. Getting all the shamans, finding all of Ryu's final gear, facing Barubary alone just before the end, it's the classical executed in the perfect way. God bless bof 1, 3 and 4 too, but my heart goes for Breath 2. Also, this year I'm probably getting a tattoo of the cast, I think I'll start with Nina in the shaman form
This is one of my earliest RPGs; I know it doesn't get as much love a Chrono Trigger, but I loved it because of it's difficulty, awesome looking characters, battle animations, and fusing the heroes into unholy, ridiculous abominations!
Probably the first jrpg game completed as child ... With one of the best plots and characters in gaming (in my opinion), this game made me a true fan of video games. The night I beated the game for first time I couldn't sleep and started making fan art of the game series (one of my hobbies to date).

I remember playing BOF2 on my SNES after final fantasy 3 (6) and it was so different in tone but such a great classic story with beautiful sprite visuals. I loved the dragon forms and turn based combat in the game. It was a fresh system and exciting.

Fable: The Lost Chapters
Fable: The Lost ChaptersFable was expanded and rereleased as Fable: The Lost Chapters for Xbox and Windows PC platforms in September 2005. The game was later ported to Mac OS X by Robosoft Technologies and published by Feral Interactive on 31 March 2008. The Lost Chapters features all the content found in the original Fable, as well as additional new content such as new monsters, weapons, alignment based spells, items, armour, towns, buildings, and expressions, as well as the ability to give children objects. The story receives further augmentation in the form of nine new areas and sixteen additional quests. Characters such as Briar Rose and Scythe, who played only minor roles in the original game, are now given more importance and are included in certain main and side quests. Other character-based augmentations include the voice of the antagonist, Jack of Blades, sounding deeper, harsher and more demonic, and the ability to uncover (and resolve) the murder mystery of Lady Grey's sister. The updated edition of the game also applied fixes for certain glitches, such as the "dig glitch," in which the protagonist would move backward each time he used the shovel, pushing him through solid objects and sometimes trapping him.
