Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds (2003)

by Eurocom Entertainment Software, Fox Interactive, Vivendi Universal Games
Genres:Hack and slash/Beat 'em up
Themes:Action, Comedy, Horror
Game modes:Single player, Split screen
Story:Buffy and the crew are back for another battle against evil. On this occasion (set as a 'missing episode' from the TV series' fifth season), the powerful vampire Kakistos and The First are ready for war, and the only ones standing in their way is Buffy the Vampire Slayer and her friends Willow (an at times powerful witch), Faith (a fellow Slayer), Spike (former evil vampire turned slightly good) and Xander (caught in the middle of his best friends work). You get the chance to play as each character during the game as you slay vampires, solve puzzles and collect items along the way to prepare you for the final showdown. Various other characters from the show appear to help you out, while some are out to hurt you big time. Multiplayer options are also included for up to 4 players. Go rabbit hunting in Bunny Catch; be the last person standing against wave after wave of vamps in Survival or battle for control of the arena in Domination.Show more

Shin Nekketsu Kouha Kunio-kun: Kunio-tachi no Banka
Shin Nekketsu Kouha Kunio-kun: Kunio-tachi no BankaShin Nekketsu Kōha Kunio-kun: Kunio-tachi no Banka is a beat 'em up in the Kunio / Nekketsu High series. The eternal rebel Kunio and his pal Riki finally get to face the long arm of the law when they get both arrested for killing a couple of bystanders in a hit-and-run incident. Problem is they are innocent and the lookalike killers are still out there! Kunio and his pal now have to break out of the prison and go kick some butt in the name of justice (and to clear their names of course). Gameplay involves defeating all opponents using your arsenal of attacks and special moves and completing the many side scrolling stages that make up the game, usually after beating an end level boss. Kunio and Riki are not alone in their quest, as their hard boiled girlfriends, Misako and Kyoko, can join up and provide their unique collection of special moves to the mix. Biking sequences in which you try to get to another part of town while fending-off opponents Road Rash-style are also added for additional gameplay and the game uses several non-interactive cutscenes and dialogues to carry the plot forward.

Dragon Ball

Lutter
LutterLutter is a game comprised of single screens full of traps, obstacles, enemies and items that the eponymous hero Lutter must navigate in order to find six missing damsels and the enormous monsters that hold them hostage. The game has some element of non-linearity, as there are numerous paths that split off to explore. The chief goal is to find keys that unlock doors to new areas and eventually to large, screen-sized bosses that Lutter must defeat in shoot 'em up style boss fights. The game also features a few RPG aspects: Lutter has a health bar and can level up, which increases his health and other stats. He defeats enemies by charging into them, similarly to early action RPGs like the first Ys and Hydlide. When defeated, the game will automatically try to bribe the victorious monster with whatever funds the player has accrued: should they have enough to placate the monster (this amount often depends on the strength of the monster) Lutter reappears where he entered the screen with his health restored.
