Genres:Turn-based strategy (TBS), Sport, Fighting
Themes:Comedy
Game modes:Single player, Multiplayer
Story:Dead or Alive Xtreme 2 is a sports spin-off game in the Dead or Alive series and the sequel to Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball. The title expands upon the activities available in the original, supplementing beach volleyball with additional beach-related minigames. DOAX2 features a two-week vacation mode, where the player can indulge in a variety of activities. Each day is broken up into three segments (morning, afternoon, and evening), where players can perform a single activity during each. The game puts a strong emphasis on friendship; players must befriend the other girls by buying them gifts they enjoy from the various stores on the island, playing pool-hopping and playing butt battles. Doing so will increase the bond between the two characters.Show more

My covid19 lockdown game. Played it out of morbid curiosity and nostalgia for the first one. Stayed for how much I enjoyed the chill vibe around the sunny island and just playing the waveracer game over and over. The latter is rather barebones and with not a lot of content. Not even multiplayer. But I loved playing it nonetheless. Really hoped they would've expanded upon that in later entries but alas. Sad to see how the series now is just gacha style slotmachines with no gameplay. Especially because DOAX 1 taught me as a kid never to gamble.

Big bazooga make me go awooga. There's booba, beach, gambling, wave race, cute outfits. What more could you ask for? I know! You can ask for it to come to PC.
Out of all my DOAX games, the second one has to be the best. The water effects alone were mind blowing for the Mid 2000's on xbox 360 hardware. Itagaki has stated that getting the water physics correct was a job in itself and the game speaks for itself with all the attention to detail and love that was put into it. It's a fun and relaxing game with the DOA girls and having a custom soundtrack doesn't hurt either. All in all, it was a fun time and if it's released then you'll might enjoy it as well.

Snowboard Kids
Snowboard KidsThe kids are arguing about their snowboarding skills. The debate escalates to the point where they decide to hold a snowboarding tournament to determine who is the best. One character, Shinobin, has no involvement whatsoever until he is unlocked by the player. In addition to the usual gameplay of a snowboarding game, Snowboard Kids adds "Shots" (special weapons used to attack players) and items which can help the player, hinder other players, or both. The game has nine main courses. Although some of the courses are snowy mountains, many are courses that would be unorthodox for snowboarding in the real world. Such courses include an amusement park, a desert, a vast valley, a dark highway, and a Japanese village during the cherry blossom festival. There were several game mechanics that were unique to Snowboard Kids from other snowboard games and racing games at the time. One was the addition of the second item slot, allowing each player to carry a shooting item and support item (such as a rock, or invisibility) at the same time. Also, players needed to pay 100 gold in order to grab an item during the race, which could be obtained either through performing tricks or collecting coins scattered across the course. All courses also required players to race down the hill for multiple laps. Once a player had reached the bottom of the hill, he or she would need to pass through the lift gate to be transported back to the top of the hill, and could not be attacked by other players in this transition.

Lost Odyssey
Lost OdysseyLost Odyssey is set in a world in which a "Magic-Industrial Revolution" is taking place. While magic energy existed in all living creatures beforehand, it suddenly became far more powerful thirty years before the beginning of the game. Because of this, it has affected society greatly, with devices called "Magic Engines" harnessing this power for lighting, automobiles, communication, and robots, among other uses. While previously only a select few could wield magic, many magicians gained the ability. However, such progress has also caused two nations to develop new and more powerful weapons of mass destruction. The kingdom of Gohtza and the Republic of Uhra (which recently converted from a monarchy). Uhra is building Grand Staff, a gigantic magic engine, while the heavily industrialized Gohtza actively pursues magic research of their own. A third nation, the Free Ocean State of Numara, remains isolated and neutral, though it is falling into disarray due to a general attempting to stage a coup d'etat. Uhra, at war with Khent, a nation of beastmen, sends its forces to the Highlands of Wohl for a decisive battle at the start of the game.
