The original Duke Nukem is one of the few platformers I was actually able to beat. Just the right difficulty for me. A lovely game from days past - a good memory for me, personally.

This game was quite amazing and a piece of history, was Commander Keen with GUNS AND ATTITUDE, i played quite a lot back then and i would love to have it on GOG for me to play it again.
This needs to be dragged from the greasy fingers of Randel S. Pitchford III, it is a part of gaming history and deserves to be preserved, it isn't much but it was our first introduction to the Duke and lets not let Duke Nukem Forever be the last thing the character is remembered for.
The very first game that started a legend that would be known as Duke Nukem. Sure Duke 3D was a game changer that made the character recognizable by many, but the first Duke Nukem game is just as important since it is part of the main series. Duke shows off his one-man army capabilities for the first time against the evil Dr. Proton and his techbot army in this simple easy-to-play 2D side-scroller shooter. I especially found it hilarious how Proton would communicate with Duke via TV screens throughout the game. The levels allow for full exploration to find keys, powerups, and other secrets that can rack up big points for the high score like collecting the red balloons. Duke's legacy deserves to be forever preserved for future generations of gamers to enjoy and learn about the history why Duke was, and always will be a true king in gaming.

OG Duke Nukem was a very cool platformer, with large levels to explore, densely packed with secrets and traps. While not the most sophisticated, it was a blast to play and while I have it already here, I find extremely narrow-minded, unjust and unfair that Randy had Duke removed from pretty much everywhere but steam and gatekept the remasters of Duke 1 & 2 for the Evercade. Duke deserves his spot on GOG back, keeping him out of here is plain absurd.

I could play a remaster of this game for Evercade consoles. I really enjoyed it and wish my friends could play it too, even if they don't have a niche console. It's a bit of a different vibe to Duke Nukem 3D or Forever. It's very plastic and it's meant to be. And at the same time it's pleasantly playable even today.

Hitman
HitmanBecome the Master Assassin in an intense spy-thriller story. As Agent 47, you perform contract hits on powerful, high-profile targets in exotic locations around the world. Gameplay focuses on taking out targets in huge and intricate sandbox levels with complete freedom of approach. Where to go, when to strike and who to kill – it is all up to you. HITMAN is an expanding and evolving world of assassination. The experience began with a Prologue and Paris location in March, continued with Episode 2: Sapienza in April, Episode 3: Marrakesh in May, the Summer Bonus Episode in July, Episode 4: Bangkok in August and Episode 5: Colorado in September. The season finale in Hokkaido, Japan arrived on October 31st. HITMAN also features a major live component, which is made up of Elusive Targets, Escalation Contracts, Community-inspired Challenge Packs and Contracts Mode. An Elusive Target is the closest thing to the Hitman fantasy that we’ve ever created. These targets will be custom-created characters that are added to existing locations and are only there for a limited time in real-time. You’ll only have one chance to take them down. If they escape, they are gone for good. If you kill them, that’s the way that you killed them. There are no do-overs and no second chances. When an Elusive Target leaves the game world (one way or another) they never return. Escalation Mode is something else completely new for HITMAN and was created as a way to regularly provide a fresh challenge to players. You’ll need to master the location as well as the gameplay mechanics to complete a hit that will escalate in difficulty by adding new elements. This mode has a strong focus on having fun with the game mechanics and mixing them up. It’s more about being playful than realistic. Contracts Mode returns from Hitman Absolution; Play-to-create, mark your own targets, choose how to kill them and compete against your friends. We will also pick the best of the bunch and put them in the Featured Contracts list so you’ve got something fresh to play whenever you load up the game.

Freelancer
FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.
