Bringing this enhanced version to GOG would not only preserve a piece of gaming history, but also offer the best DRM-free version of the game for fans who value ownership and performance.
Over the past few years, major visual and performance upgrades have been applied. Character models and environments now look far more polished, and effects like weather, lighting, and reflections better reflect the original game’s atmosphere while still benefiting from modern enhancements. Frame rates and stability are also much better across all platforms, especially on PC.
Gameplay improvements such as tighter controls, better aiming mechanics, and smoother driving make the experience more modern without losing the heart of the original. The reworked UI and checkpoint system help new players get into the game more easily, while longtime fans can appreciate how it keeps the classic charm alive.
