An Eastern European RPG series in a Slavic setting. It's not, by any means, as good as The Witcher. In terms of quality (and origin), it's closer to Konung. This is the first game of the series, originally titled as Златогорье (Zlatogorye, which can be translated as the land of golden mountains or golden land) for CIS countries and rebranded as Heath: The Unchosen Path / Heath: El Camino Elegido for EU markets (and it's kinda meh). But the second part and its stand-alone add-on are OK budget titles with an old-school gameplay system reminiscent of Fallout 1 & 2. They have both charming atmosphere and great music, and they deserves to be preserved, not totally abandoned and forgotten as it is now:( P.S.: You can also find the second part here by the name of Zlatogorye 2, which is a transliteration from the CIS title Златогорье 2. But its official name for other markets was Golden Land (I have a physical edition of this game for the Czech market). You may also see it called Goldenland (in one word) on some sites, but I don't think it was an official title. P.P.S.: There is currently no page for the standalone add-on for this game which was titled as Златогорье 2: Холодные небеса (Golden Land 2: Cold Heaven). As far as I know, the developers planned to release it in the West, but it, sadly, never happened. This add-on is the best entry in the series, both in terms of gameplay and atmosphere — it's pretty damn good if you're into such games and can ignore the dated graphics and some technical issues. P.P.P.S.: this series especially needs a GOG treatment since it's a pain in the butt to run it on modern OS and hardware even if you get a version without anti-pirate protection which doesn't work anymore. Those games worked fine on XP, but anything higher — well, good luck with that. And I want to play Cold Heaven once again so much (this is the perfect game for a snowy winter evenings)! :\
Those games also need your vote!

Front Mission 2089
Front Mission 2089Front Mission 2089 is a tactical role-playing game developed by Square Enix Co., Ltd., MSF, and Winds, and was published and released in Japan by Square Enix Co., Ltd. in 2005 and 2008 for the mobile phones. The game was released on March 7, 2005, October 27, 2005, and June 18, 2008. Front Mission 2089 borrows many of the gameplay mechanics found in Front Mission. The video game progresses in a linear manner: watch cut-scene events, complete missions, set up their wanzers during intermissions, and sortie for the next mission. Missions in Front Mission 2089 are traditional tactical RPG fare, ranging from destroying all enemy targets to protecting a particular allied target. Due to its mobile phone format, the story of Front Mission 2089 is told through episodic content; new episodes were released for download on the video game's official website on a bi-weekly basis. A returning feature in the game is the Arena. Like in Front Mission, players can fight other players to win monetary rewards. Mission rankings also make a return; based on the scoring system of Front Mission 3, players can earn new parts and wanzers by doing well during missions. Another returning feature is briefings. Lastly, players can choose to play two unique scenarios - one with the Oceania Cooperative Union (O.C.U.), and one with the United States of the New Continent (U.S.N.).

Final Fantasy III
Final Fantasy IIIFinal Fantasy III is the third FF game for the Famicom. The turn-based battle engine has been improved: if the enemy is defeated, the next character will automatically switch to another enemy, and not hit the air, like in the previous two games. The game itself is, like the previous games, a top-down RPG where your characters travel in the overworld, sometimes entering cities and dungeons to buy equipment, rest and fight random encounters and bosses with turn-based combat. Final Fantasy III also introduces various series staples, such as the Job system and the Moogle species.

Final Fantasy VIII
Final Fantasy VIIIFinal Fantasy VIII is the eighth main installment in the Final Fantasy series. The gameplay makes a departure from many series standards. While it still uses the Active Time Battle system, it deviates from the series' traditional means of boosting a character's power via leveling, although levels are not completely abandoned as they were in Final Fantasy II. In addition, it does not have a Magic Point-based system for spell-casting. Instead, magic is collected, drawn, and created from items, and is used to power up the characters via the junction system.
