I played this game more then a 100 times! it was one of my favorite aircraft games ever. You would think this WW2 aircraft arcade shooting and flying wouldn't be that interesting and you might be right. The game is a just a neat little thing that deserves to be brought back.

A perfectly fun blend of arcade flight with JUST a hint of sim DNA. That unique blend made it feel really good to break up an enemy formation of bombers or tangle with fighters. It was as easy to get lost in the fantasy of the fighter as it was to put on your favorite pair of jeans. Heroes of the Pacific hit a joyful mixture of styles that kept you in the action without bogging you down in too much simulation or repulsed by too much arcade. I'm normally a little more into the sim side, but this was just a perfect balance that still rings bells of joy in my memory. As I recall, after unlocking planes in missions, you'd be able to re-run early period missions with late period fighters, in a great "what if" situation... What if a Thunderbolt or Mustang had been available and airborne at Pearl Harbor? I still have the discs, but they don't help much these days... GOG would be a perfect home for preservation!
Charming and fun arcade ww2 flight game Played many arcade flight games back in the day and this one remains on top for the good memories it gave me. It was the little stuff it did that still impress me, like the awesome menu art of ww2 posters and the fun method of upgrading your planes (not just boring stat boost but new paint schemes and extra weaponry). The story is solid and missions are fun enough from my memory. Protag and main villains are the weakest link in the game. Not bad, but average to workable. Out of all the arcade games I miss this the most. A gog release would be an instant buy for me

Deuteros: The Next Millennium
Deuteros: The Next MillenniumDeuteros: The Next Millennium is the sequel to the sci-fi strategy video game Millennium 2.2, published by Activision for the Amiga and Atari ST. While the game shares themes of space exploration and resource gathering - plus some elements of its interface - with its predecessor, the two are different in gameplay. The object of Deuteros is to mine and manage resources, explore the Solar System and beyond. For this, 3 categories of civilians are trained: Producers, Researchers and Marines, out of a pool of 6000 population. The longer these teams are used, they are advanced in three levels, required for some later action (some inventions can be manufactured only by a producer who is at "Expert" level while Pilots with the rank of "Admiral" will be more effective in battles). New bases built on other planets must be manned with new teams of Producers in order to construct the shuttles and derricks needed for supply. Some of these events are "milestones" which will trigger new technology to be researched by the scientists. The player has to take care mostly of the transaction between the planets and the factories and distribute their supply with shuttles and long-range spacecraft. New technology (such as automatisation computers or teleport) will replace some of the player's involvement, as the player must later concentrate on war.

Lander
LanderLander is a small, lightweight, maneuverable machine designed for tight above and below ground flying, controlled through a set of thrusters on the corners and a single main engine on its belly. With the money you earn, make needed repairs or improve Lander with better weapons, engines, armor – or even replace it entirely. There are five grades of armor, four pulse energy weapons, three missile systems and four engines available when you have enough cash to purchase them. In order to succeed, you must master intricate flight dynamics. Learn to maneuver your Lander through a series of traps and other obstacles, all the while handling gravity, wind, and other atmospheric interferences. There are 30 increasingly difficult, non-linear single missions covering 15 different planets and moons. In the early stages of the game, they involve finding and retrieving objects with your tractor beam, searching and destroying a specific target or stealing an important object. Later operations take on a covert military flair, some of which are puzzle based, and you find that other factions are determined to stop you at all costs. Two multiplayer levels support deathmatch play over IPX or TCP/IP internet connection. CD-Rom and DVD versions were shipped in the same package. The DVD version (Psygnosis’ first release in that format) boasts high-resolution MPEG 2 video sequences and Dolby Digital 5.1 audio. The PC version offers Dolby Surround Sound and MPEG 1 video (in shorter length) on a single CD-Rom.
