Story:The 10th Anniversary Update brings with it two versions of KI:
The Killer Instinct Base Game will be FREE TO PLAY on all platforms: Xbox consoles (One, Series X|S), Windows PC, and Steam. The free KI base game will feature one free weekly rotating Fighter and Single-Player, Local, and Ranked modes.
The Killer Instinct Anniversary Edition will include all 29 Fighters, and all Premium Content ever released: the VIP Double XP Booster, holiday accessories, and more. This edition replaces the "Definitive Edition," which was delisted upon release of the Anniversary Edition.
The 10th Anniversary Update will go even further, with a few more changes:
- Improved matchmaking. We want to make it easier for folks to find matches quickly, regardless of which platform they’re playing on.
- Optimization for Series X|S consoles.
- Balance updates. That’s right – new meta for Killer Instinct, more than five years after the last adjustments!
The following Mature-rated content included in KI Definitive Edition will NOT be included in the Anniversary Edition:
- Definitive Edition App (featuring developer interviews, concept art, Killer Cuts soundtrack)
- Xbox KI Classic 1 & 2
- But DON’T WORRY! If you already own Killer Instinct Definitive Edition digitally, you will still be able to download the above content even after the Definitive Edition is retired.Show more

Killer Instinct: Anniversary Edition is a must for either Killer Instinct fans or fighting fans in general. This is packing so much content it's virtually mind blowing. You get a lot of characters with majority being DLC ones. You get a few modes that have their own unique experiences. Plenty of stages to play for months to years. There's a lot of challenges for the roster as well. Assuming they enable the achievements, there's a few hundred achievements alone!!! You get so many skins for the roster I can't name many fighting games that comes close. This is a truly solid fighting game that properly modernizes Killer Instinct. It's really mind blowing such an fighting game actually exists!!! The soundtrack with the sound effects are really impressive as well. There's plenty of secrets hidden in the game. Also considering the gap from Killer Instinct 2 or Gold, this is well worth the wait.
EhrgeizEhrgeiz is a 3D fighting game that features some characters from Final Fantasy VII. Cloud Strife and Tifa Lockhart are playable in the arcade and the PlayStation versions, and Sephiroth, Yuffie Kisaragi, Vincent Valentine and Zack Fair were added to the PlayStation version's roster. Ehrgeiz differs from most 3D fighting games by drawing heavily from the concepts of wrestling games and Dream Factory's own Tobal series, which allow for full 360-degree movement and do not require fighters to be facing each other at all times.Action
The Unholy WarThe Unholy War is 3D strategy game which uses many different weapons and special attacks. In a head to head two player game, players can strategically position their forces, and then fight the opposition in 3D arcade-style combat. Or, you can take advantage of the tournament mode to play against a whole host of friends (or enemies) in a variety of different combat arenas which all require different strategies.

Atlas ReactorAtlas Reactor is a 4v4 team-based tactical/strategic PvP game that uses simultaneous turns with 4 action phases during combat. Prep -> Dash -> Blast -> Move. Players can't Move after a Dash action. The players on both teams are given 20 seconds to choose an action each turn that is then played out in order.

Part platformer, part fighting game, part pocket monster battler -- Medabot AX games (released in Metabee and Rokusho versions, nearly identical except for the starting bots and different weapons/items you can win and trade between the two different editons) has what could have been a lethal combo.
