Aside from combat, the player must also manage the clans resources, and ensure a new generation is ready to take over when the curse kills their parents. A Couple and their infant child go to slay some monsters, unfortunately they got more than they bargained for. The 2 are killed and the child is Spared.........well, mostly, if you count 2 Curses, 1 that prevents them from bearing children with other humans and the other making them age 50 times faster spared. The Gods decide "Well that's unsportsmanlike." and decide to help out, mostly to deal with the former curse's loophole as they aren't human. Yeah that's right, you making babies with the Gods, and which ones you do mate with affect everything from the kid's appearance, their elemental talents, etc. For those jarred by that no it's not fanservicey or anything, the game treats it surprisingly mundane (You select a God/Goddess from a Menu, you get a line, you see the Clan Member and God Portraits, then see double helixes fly in the air and you then see the new Clan Member.). You also have different Classes. The game is predominately a Dungeon Crawler where you fight Monsters and Demons, the Bosses of which when you fulfill the conditions upon beating them (Usually Multiple Times.) they will ascend to Heaven to be MORE Gods you can mate with. This game takes the term 'Generational' And REALLY runs with it, you're characters will die for real after a set amount of time, hence the need to mate with the Gods to begin with. This is a great game we really should have gotten. GOG, perhaps you'd care to be the one who does it?
