This is one of the best movie games that had no reason to be as good as it was. Played it back on the PS2 and eventually tried the PC version but neither work well at all so had to emulate PS2. It was pretty challenging when I was younger because the T-Rex was so terrifying when you play as a Jack.
Absolutely one of the best licensed movie titles of all time. Really had an amazing sense of atmosphere and tension to it, every single enemy encounter felt like a struggle that could end up killing you, while still feeling fair in terms of difficulty. The way it leverages interactions between different creatures eating and hunting each other and how you can use that to bait them into traps alongside environmental hazards was super cool. And all of that is just the FPS bits, I haven't even talked about the action sections with Kong yet!
I don't understand how this game was so good for the day and age it came out. I very fond memories of this game when I was kid on the ps2 and its just a classic survival horror to me because of the no hud it felt different from everything that was out then. People need to experience this masterpiece of a movie tie in game because there is nothing else like it!

This game had NO right to be as good as it was. It even managed to be much better than movie at least in my opinion. Even though it's not a horror game, it is survival horror-adjacent, especially when you play as Jack.
A masterpiece in storytelling and probably one of - if not the greatest - movie game tie in type of thing. It's an absolute blast of an experience... just picture yourself with that amazing oled tv, some good stereo, sitting on your leather armchair, dim lights, a proper cuban cigar and that controller on your sweaty hands as you dig thru all of this game's diverse chapters. Now that's a dream come true.
This game was my childod. I played it on PS2 and always regret the atmosphere of this game. It realy give you some horror vibes and tension because you always more weak than your enemys. Restoring this gaming is restoring an incredible piece of PS2 era and one of the best game based on a movie ever made.

Played it first time on the Xbox, the centipede movements were so impressive, voice acting was great and the atmosphere of the whole island was so good. One of the five movie tide in games that actually turned out good

Still an amazing game. The atmosphere and mechanics are still top notch. Back in the day, seeing this running on a 360 in Game Crazy actually took my breath away for a moment, because I thought it was that detailed, seeing pores on Ann's face, funny in hindsight I know. but I own it on PS2 and the relatively briefly available on Amazon DRM free PC version. However it should be put on GOG so it can be preserved for the future.

Um dos melhores games de filmes do PS2, muitas memórias e saudades desse game, ansioso pelo seu retorno na versão PCs pela GOG, clássico da era dos games baseados em filmes.

Freelancer
FreelancerEight hundred years prior to the start of our story, bitter conflict divided all of mankind. A handful of colonists struck out on their own to begin anew - far away from the Earth and its turmoil. Several ships were launched with enough equipment and supplies to give the hundreds onboard a fighting chance - but since the area around far-off Sirius had never been surveyed, no one really knew what to expect. What they found was a new frontier of free-flowing natural resources, unexplored territories, great wonders and lurking dangers. Each ship, representing the clusters of people and their earthly place of origin, settled into different parts of the galaxy pre-selected by their ship-board computer to give them the best chance of survival. Life was hard in the beginning, but over the 800 years the different colonies prospered and expanded their territories, claiming more and more systems for their own. Survival and propagation eventually led to growth and profit as each of the colonies developed specialties and fostered commerce. As the colonies grew and time passed their connections with their roots on Earth dwindled and they lost their memories of the conflicts of the past. Soon their attention was dominated by new, more immediate conflicts. Feelings of lost ancestral connection spurred anachronism in the look of the great cities, and created a somewhat distorted image of each colony's cultural heritage. In the ever-expanding outer edge of the territories, frontier lawlessness prevailed. The Houses: Each shipboard colony that left Earth carried some memory of its origins in its name. The Liberty carried Americans, The Bretonia flew from The United Kingdom and surrounding territory, The Kusari from Asia, and the Rheinland launched with Germanic cargo. As each ship settled and colonies began to expand, they knew little about each other and their advancing development. Finally, little by little, the individual colonies found each other and began to set up trade routes to link their systems for commerce and solidarity. Today, with each colony firmly rooted in its respective corner of the galaxy, the colonies rely heavily on each other for trade and industry but also compete for resources and new territories in the Border Worlds. The colonies mandate member governments in "The New Alliance" within the Sirius sector. To control conflicts, each colony has forged alliances and treaties with others as they have grown. Competition remains fierce, however. Struggles rage for supremacy in business, commerce, resources, power and control. There can be tenuous peace between colonies' political agendas, but the grabs for holdings constantly unsettle the volatile frontier.
