Ouji Hiroi, the creator of Sakura Taisen franchise had wanted to see his games to be played by many since 1996 and not just exclusively in Japan only which it is a second most popular JRPG behind Final Fantasy franchise. But for whatever reason, the executives from Sega of America at that time had repeatedly turn it down. Thus, ST series had missed the opportunity to leave a mark overseas where JRPGs immediately took off in the 1990s. Please, made his dream became a reality.
I bought a dreamcast for this game. It's an incredible title and the time is right for the people to experience its glory, fully localized and playable widely.
Not necessarily personal memory but this is a super important game to the dating sim genre history and also tactical RPG history. Not to mention, this series has floundered in modern times because in the west it is difficult to access.

Fantastic series, lovable characters, delightful setting, plenty of choices, and fun combat to boot, this series has it all, and could very well become a new favorite of many SEGA fans, and even gaming enthusiasts in general, if only it were given a chance to make it overseas. Fire Emblem exploded in popularity once they added romance mechanics to their strategy games, so why not take a chance on a series that made waves in Japan for doing that way back in 1996?

This game is so incredibly important to the history and development of *so* many genres - dating sim, tactics, adventure, etc. - that its preservation and recognition should be universal.
A great game with a talented voice cast, and lots of great stage performances. The game is a combination of role-playing, strategy, dating, a little bit of harem, and music is the strongest point of this franchise.
Discovered this game through the catchy and iconic opening song “Geki! Teikoku Kagekidan” and Segata Sanshiro commercials, then I soon fell in love with it. Great story, and great character and accessible strategy gameplay. Sakura is my waifu.

The incredible music, visuals, and characters. I still remember this game so vividly. Sakura Taisen is absolutely iconic in the tactical RPG/dating sim genre. This game deserves high respect and should be properly preserved.

One of the best games/imports the west barely got to play. Sakura Wars is an important piece of visual novel history which would go on to inspire mechanics seen in modern RPGs and has a great story with wonderful characters on top of it. The music is beautiful, the world is engaging, the characters are enjoyable, and it makes for a wonderful package. This game has never been officially translated in English, so this would be a great opportunity for it to finally get the chance to have this game be reached by a larger community, especially those who don't have a Sega Saturn.

Played this game for the first time 3 years ago. Fell in love with the other games. Since it hits its 30 year anniversary next year. Its overdue that Sega should release it. it has a little Point and Click adventure, Dating Sim and Tactical Combat. The characters are also very well voiced. If you dont like Anime, this game won't change your mind. But when it comes to romance options, this game does it way better than the Bioware games.
Those games also need your vote!

Sprung
SprungSprung puts players in the shoes of either Becky or Brett in a conversation-based visual novel that mostly consists of dialogue. Sprung can be regarded as a dating sim, though the linearity and variety in the game (as well as its humor) also lend it to being an adventure game. The game was one of the first dating simulation games to have a wide commercial release in North America.

Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe
Secret Weapons of the LuftwaffeAfter the success of the simulation titles Their Finest Hour: The Battle of Britain® and Battlehawks 1942 in the late 80s, LucasArts decided to follow up those games with another World War II simulation title: Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe. Released in August 1991, the game followed the campaign by the US 8th Air Force to cripple the German Luftwaffe during the final years of World War II. Players could fly in either American or German warplanes. The game was remarkable because many of the playable airplanes were still under development during the war. In other words, the planes were never used extensively in battle, so players could explore “what if ” possibilities with the game. Those possibilities were further expanded by four Tour of Duty expansion packs. The planes in those expansions included the P-38 Lighting, a twin-engine escort fighter and the German Do335, an interceptor aircraft that featured a conventional tractor propeller in the nose as well as a pusher propeller behind the tail of the aircraft.

BattleTech: The Crescent Hawks' Revenge
BattleTech: The Crescent Hawks' RevengeBattleTech: The Crescent Hawks' Revenge is the sequel to BattleTech: The Crescent Hawk's Inception. It is the year 3029 during the Succession Wars; as the nineteen-year-old Mechwarrior Jason Youngblood of the Lyran Commonwealth (House Steiner), it is time to strike back at the treacherous forces of the Draconis Combine (House Kurita), who captured Jason's father in the original BattleTech, and whom he has sworn to rescue. Unlike its predecessor, the game inclines more towards RTS (real-time strategy) than role-playing gameplay style. The player will lead the forces of 31st Century BattleMechs (Warrior Robots) in a daring mission of rescue and revenge. The game consists of two parts - the storyline, which gives the player guidance and direction, and changes with the outcome of every decision made; and the scenarios, which are the arenas where the player watches his/her maneuvers unfold in real time. The game has digital speech and a technically advanced musical score.
