I first learned about Shadowrun through a magazine, probably Xbox Magazine or Game Informer, and I immediately fell in love with the concept. As a young teen, it was my first introduction to anything cyberpunk, and it was so cool and unique. Once I got the game, it was also special, because as someone that didn't have a gaming PC, it was my first introduction to Counter-Strike style gameplay. When Rooster Teeth, which I had also recently gotten into at the time thanks to Red Vs Blue, made a short series using the game (1-800-MAGIC) it just cemented in my mind that this game was something special. The community in this game is still alive and well, playing on peer-hosted servers using old Games for Windows Live codes, communicating and setting up tournaments and such through a dedicated Discord space. They were even able to put together a Q&A with some members of the dev team a while back. With over 1000 members in the Discord, this community is more active than many games still being officially sold and run. I can only imagine how much it would grow if there were easier access to it via GOG.
Recently getting to interview a dozen of the original FASA developers in a community AMA and getting to play actual matches with the developers of your favorite game 16 years after release. An actual gamer’s dream come true. Going to various in-person LAN events to hang out and swap stories with other fans of the game. Nashville 2023 was an absolute blast and hope with a revival, we as a community are able to have more events like that in the future.

Played this game nightly with my friends back in 2007. We played the game for years until there were only a few thousand players, and then a few hundred, and then just a handful of diehard fans that basically all knew each other at least by their tags or reputations. would really like for this to come back and id be bringing at least a dozen poor souls with me that never got the chance to play in 2007

Early on in my youth, I played this constantly with my friends on my xbox 360. I've owned multiple copies and consoles for LAN shadowrun parties. This game is magical, and to see it come back would be a dream.
This was one of those games on the Xbox 360 where I was too poor to afford it at the time to buy it and I couldn't afford a subscription either,--I only played the online demo. I played it for so many hours despite so much of the content being locked out and it left such an impression that I still miss it to this day. The worst part was when I was at a financial state to be able to play it they already had announced there would be no new content or updates that were originally planned and they would shut the servers down. So, yeah, I want to play it again and I know there's others out there that feel the same way.

Played this as a kid back when it came out, there was nothing else quite like it when it came to gameplay. It much reminds me of current day competitive gaming and it was far ahead of its time. This game could have so much potential if remastered properly.

This game had an online multiplayer demo that allowed anyone to play it for free forever. It was basically the first free to play multiplayer FPS. Which is part of the reason so many had played it (including me), because this game got little to no marketing when it was released sadly. I really fell in love with it though when MLG (Major League Gaming) added it to their circuit alongside their flagship Halo. You got to watch the single greatest FPS team at the time in Final Boss destroy everyone at Shadowrun and it was so amazing to see how good this game was when played at such a high level.

I remember this game on the Xbox 360 when I was young. It had very interesting mechanics that still hold up today. It was also one of the first games to have cross-play which brought together lots of gamers. Shadow Run is playable on the Xbox Series through backwards compatibility. But playing it on PC these days is a bit complicated for most people. It would be awesome if it was added to GOG so it can be more accessible to PC users.
That amount of love i have for this in my heart. i remember creating a reddit accounts just to get into games since the queues were empty so people were host private matches in its final days
Those games also need your vote!

Vigilante 8
Vigilante 8The game's storyline is built around an alternate history, in which there was a worldwide oil crisis in the 1970s and the U.S. was on the verge of an economic breakdown. Strikes, riots and crime were rampant, and all available law enforcement were brought to the cities leaving the outlands vulnerable. A foreign multinational oil consortium, Oil Monopoly Alliance Regime (OMAR), was determined to monopolize the world oil trade. The U.S. was the last country that stood in their way and they were prepared to go to any length to bring the U.S. to its knees. OMAR hired Sid Burn, a professional terrorist, to push the U.S. economy over the edge. Sid began to organize his troops in the remote areas of the southwest. Calling themselves the "Coyotes," they began to target oil refineries, commercial installations and other vital industry throughout the region. With the law enforcement in the cities, some desperate civilians began to take the law into their own hands. Led by a trucker named Convoy and referred to simply as the "Vigilantes," this oddball group soon became a major hindrance to Sid. Meanwhile, the U.S. government, feeling more vulnerable than ever, was intensifying its research and development of a new military arsenal. The most advanced weaponry, rumored to be based on UFO technology, was located at Site-4, a secret facility at Papoose Lake. This information was not lost on Sid, and the Coyotes ambushed the facility. However the Vigilantes unexpectedly appeared to stop them and as a result, both parties found themselves in possession of the world's most advanced weaponry. What followed were no ordinary skirmishes. Auto clashes ensued all over the land, from Colorado's Rockies to California's farmlands, only to culminate in a battle like no other. To this day the events which took place are only a matter of speculation.

Working up through the ranks of command he soon came to be the CEO of OMAR itself and made a complete monopoly on all oil trades with the sole exception of the United States. With the help of his student and hitman, Obake, he steals the technology to allow him to travel through time. Taking with him Obake and his cybernetic assassin, Dallas 13, he makes the jump back to the 1970s to cripple the United States and bring OMAR to total domination. Appearing in the 1970s, the three vehicles encounter Convoy, the former leader of the Vigilantes. Upon seeing him, the three cars open fire.

Perfect Dark
Perfect DarkPerfect Dark is a remastered release of the first-person shooter video game by the same name. Developed by 4J Studios and published by Microsoft Game Studios a decade after the original's 2000 release, the remaster features several technical improvements, including higher resolution textures and models, a higher frame rate, and a multiplayer mode that supports the Xbox Live online service. It was released for the Xbox 360 video game console in March 2010, through the Xbox Live Arcade download service. The story of the game follows Joanna Dark, an agent of the Carrington Institute organization, as she attempts to stop a conspiracy by rival corporation dataDyne. Perfect Dark was under development for nearly a year and its game engine was completely re-written from scratch to support several Xbox 360 features. Therefore, although the game plays exactly the same as the original, the code and renderer is different. The game received generally favorable reviews. Some critics considered the relatively unchanged game to be outdated, but most agreed that the title was a solid revival of a classic.

Gears of War 2: Game of the Year Edition
Gears of War 2: Game of the Year EditionGears of War 2 is a 2008 military science fiction third-person shooter video game developed by Epic Games and published by Microsoft Game Studios for the Xbox 360. It is the second installment of the Gears of War series, with lead design by Cliff Bleszinski,. The game was officially released in North America, Europe and Australia on November 7, 2008 and was released in Japan on July 30, 2009. The game expands technically on the previous game by using a modified Unreal Engine 3 engine. The development team brought in comic book writer Joshua Ortega to help write the plot for the game. In Gears of War 2, the COG continues its fight against the Locust horde, who are attempting to sink all of the cities on the planet Sera. Sergeant Marcus Fenix leads Delta Squad into the depths of the planet to try to stop the Locust during the assault upon Locust territory. The player controls Fenix in the main mission campaign, with the ability to play cooperatively with a second player controlling Fenix's best friend and fellow Squad member Dominic "Dom" Santiago. The game includes several existing and new multiplayer modes including five-on-five battles between human and Locust forces, and a "Horde" mode that challenges up to five players against waves of Locust forces with ever-increasing strength. New weapons and gameplay mechanics such as "chainsaw duels" and the ability to use downed foes as "meatshields" were added to the game. On its release weekend, Gears of War 2 sold over two million copies, and within two months of release, had sold four million copies. It was the seventh best selling video game of 2009 and received several accolades. The game received similar praise as its predecessor, with the new gameplay and multiplayer modes seen as outstanding additions.
