This game must be preserved purely for the gut punches and thoughts it provoke. More relevant than ever. I already own this game but it would suck to have to pirate it in order to have others enjoy this one

Remind me again why, Strauss Zelnick, T2 and the g0ddamn people of 2K Games cannot paid Jimi Hendrix, Deep Purple, The Black Angels and those other artist to have remove this game from sale?! Zelnick is f@#k!ng millionaire! Having earned the money that he gained from suing the modders that tried to recreate and fixes the old GTA games, is just infuriating really. WTF Strauss??
This game is a brutal exploration of morality, war, and delusion. It is an important game that has been endlessly explored and remains as one of gaming's own Apocalypse Now. Put this game back.

One of the greatest stories ever told via video games. I have it on GOG, but why it is no longer available is a crime. They will never do stories like this again, and lets be honest, there hasn't been a game story like this since. Get it back on here for future generations to see.

This is a needed game in modern times. No game has ever shown PTSD better than this. If the license of the music is an issue... just release it modified by using Public Domain music instead. It works just as well, the message of the game its what is important, not the music it uses.

This is an incredibly important anti-miltary story that's is extremely valuable in these times. When white phosphorus is used in the real world, people know how bad it is from this game. It's judgements against the CIA and the American military system are what makes it stand against the propaganda of call of duty or battlefield. It's truly one of a kind.

I bought this game on steam and played it in 2021 and its a really spectacular retelling of the heart of darkness. An exemplary example of what happens when you give artists the freedom to make whatever they want. More people need to play this game. The only problem is you can't buy it. The only way you can play it now is through piracy, and that's a skill that not a lot of people are willing to learn. It would be wonderful if this game came to gog so that people can continue to play this game and recognize it as a not just a good game, but a profound piece of art. This is the only game that scholars point to when making an argument for games being recognized as art just like books or movies. The tricky part about getting this game up on gog would be the licensing which is the whole reason why the game got taken off steam in the first place. This game bleeds money ever since its release, but it is a game that needs to be played for years to come.

It's wonderful game. with it's great use of core gameplay pushing story forward, and tightly and well written tale of horrors of War, and It's beautiful. One of my favorite story driven game of all time, alongside with Talos Principle 2.
Greatest story ever told in video game form. I have no horse in this race, I own the previous GoG release. But the People must know!!! about this masterpiece. An amazing adaptation/continuation of Heart of Darkness and Apocalypse Now. Also, Konrad is the greatest antagonist in video game history and Boxleitner > Brando, believe it or not.

Alien Logic
Alien LogicIn the 21st century, human beings have all but destroyed their home planet Earth. Surviving humans found a shelter on a planet called Jorune. A civil war errupted, humans fighting the indigenous population; eventually, peace was achieved, and the various races found a way to co-exist with each other... all except one. The Shantha, one of the most ancient and powerful races on Jorune, adepts at the magical art of Isho, were not satisfied with the shape the planet has taken. 3500 years later, one of them, known as the Red Shantha, began attacking human settlements. The hero of the game is one of the villagers who have survived Red Shantha's attack. Having found the way to master Isho, the hero must rescue his friends and explore the planet, searching for the source of evil. Alien Logic is based on the Skyrealms of Jorune role-playing system. The player takes control of one character; there is no party in the game. While there is a story to follow, much of the game is open-ended, dedicated to exploring Jorune, searching for items, precious crystals (which increase the hero's parameters), and fighting enemies. The exploration mode uses a side-scrolling perspective; the player can switch to combat mode when an enemy is nearby. Combat takes place on the same screen as exploration, and is action-based. Combat relies heavily on magic (Isho); casting spells deplete the Isho bar. Spell sequences are called dyshas, which can be offensive or defensive. Preparing dysha combinations beforehand and then using them on the enemies (by clicking on them) is an essential combat strategy.

Legacy of the Ancients
Legacy of the Ancients"The player takes on the role of a young shepherd who finds and loots a recently dead body while on a first trip to the city, taking a black disk, a bracelet, and a leather scroll. The Galactic Museum mysteriously appears to the player after collecting these items. The player learns that by taking these items, he has become the next in a line of adventurers attempting to destroy the Wizard's Compendium, the leather scroll the player picked up. The museum has various display cases that require the insertion of special coins of various types to access. Some coins can be bought in random encounters with NPCs, some can be found as loot after combat, and some coins can only be found at the bottom level of various dungeons, meaning the player cannot proceed beyond a certain point until that dungeon is finished. Unlike many RPGs, the game does not use an experience point system. The player gains levels only through the successful completion of various quests. The game is mostly in top-down style for the world maps, towns, and castles, but switches to a 3D style in the dungeons and in the museum. Several different areas of the game, like games in towns and certain museum displays, allow the character to play in special mini-games, which, if done successfully, will permanently increase attributes. Also, various casinos about the towns let players gamble to win money. It is also possible to rob banks in cities, but this attracts the attention of the town guards, who will remember the robbery until the player enters another town."
