Story:Starsky & Hutch is an arcade racing game based on the popular TV series from the 70s, released to tie in with the film. The game includes 18 missions, each based on an episode of the TV show and introduced by Antonio 'Huggy Bear' Fargas. There is also a free roaming mode, in which the player explores the GTA-esque environment looking for action and trouble. Like the film, the game does not entirely play it straight. Starsky & Hutch are actually shooting a TV show, and the scoring for each mission reflects how ratings-friendly your driving is. You are awarded gold, silver or bronze medals for each mission depending on performance, and must get at least 1 gold and 2 silvers on season 1 for a second season to be commissioned, and 3 golds and 2 silvers in season 2 for there to be a third for you to play through. The overall goal in each mission is usually to chase and destroy a criminal's car. There is always a secondary target as well. In addition, the player will gain viewers by hitting the bad guy, pulling off elaborate jumps and skids, nearly hitting civilians, and hitting the bonus targets such as canisters which are strewn through the levels. Hitting civilians will lose viewers.Show more

  • What made this game unforgettable?
  • Who did you play this game with?
  • What made it fun or challenging?
  • Why do you want this game on GOG?
Oh man, I loved this game when I was a kid. The chaotic car chases while I was shooting at the same time made the game so much fun for so many hours on end. I kept replaying the same missions over and over again simply for how memorable it was. The experience was so unique for me, it's one of my favorite games of all time. The fact that this game is not available on any single storefront is a crime. I actually remember playing this game with my father (when he was still with us), I was driving and he was shooting. That was such an awesome co-op experience without needing a second device or split-screen. And unfortunately, I would no longer be able to experience that with him ever again. These days are long behind us. The fun came from the fact that I was literally driving around chasing cars while shooting at the same time. The bonuses like VR points, speed boost, even the siren - all made things so much enjoyable. Even the slower-paced moments where I have to escort someone all offer nice level of action there when an enemy car starts to attack and I have to destroy it. The challenge came from those collectibles like the keys, which were absolutely worth it - they give us a secondary available for every missions, giving it another reason to replay them. Another challenge came from the fact that some enemies are much harder to destroy - either because they shoot better or because the car is more armored, making the chases last longer, which in turn makes for more fun time. So to explain why I want this game on GOG is because I want to experience my childhood memories again, but unfortunately physical copies of the game probably don't exist for purchase anymore. I want a copy of the game without any DRM, I would absolutely recommend it for my friends (probably buy it for them as a gift) and have all of those times relived once again, except this time on modern devices.

Jet Set Radio Future
Jet Set Radio FutureJet Set Radio Future is a video game developed by Smilebit and is the sequel to Jet Set Radio. Similar to the original, it depicts a future Tokyo where freedom of expression is outlawed. The user plays a character in the GG's, a gang of in-line skating graffiti artists who skate around Tokyo covering up rival gangs' graffiti, knocking over Rokkaku police, and dancing to the electric soundtrack. The game uses a cel-shaded style of animation, and has been widely acclaimed for its unique music style, detailed art, and gameplay. Though the game is set in the future, its style and content incorporates many aspects of 1980's old school hip hop culture, as well as 1990's J-pop culture.

Dirt 3
Dirt 3Dirt 3 is a rally racing game. Just like expected, most time is spent in races which, at least in most scenarios, are set in offroad environments. The main difference to other racing events is, that the player drives not alone, but has a front-seat passenger with him, who announces when to turn. The game features overall 98 courses, but some of those are just variations of the same. Also on board is the iconic ability to turn back time after screwing up. In contrast to Dirt 2, in this installment there are other playing modes than the career available, e.g. a single race. But the career is still the heart of the game; here the player tunes his car, participates in races and earns experience points, which are used to unlock new cars. There are six different race modes to solve during the career; e.g. regular races and "trailblazer" (no passenger available). Two of those are newly introduced: drift tournaments and Gymkhana, which are basically confined areas with a lot of stunt opportunities - the goal is to perform as many as possible in a limited time. Additionally every mode has special tricky bonus goals which reward more experience when fulfilled.
