The Amazing Spider-Man
The Amazing Spider-ManIn The Amazing Spider-Man, Spider-Man has to rescue his girlfriend Mary Jane who was been kidnapped by the supervillain Mysterio. The whole game takes place in a film set studio. This game is primarily a platforming game in which Spider-Man fights against various enemies. Those can be stunned by Spider-Man's iconic web substance, but touching them or other hazards in the game world will decrease his health. Another important part of the gameplay is puzzles, mostly with the goal to deactivate some of Mysterio's gimmicks to clear the path. Spider-Man can climb walls and shoot grappling hooks.

Spider-Man and Venom: Maximum Carnage
Spider-Man and Venom: Maximum CarnageSpider-Man and Venom: Maximum Carnage is a side-scrolling beat 'em up game for the Super NES and Sega Genesis/Mega Drive, developed by Software Creations and published by Acclaim Entertainment and it's subsidiary LJN in 1994. The game, based on a sprawling comic book story arc of the same name, features numerous heroes, including Spider-Man, Venom, and their allies from the Marvel Comics fictional universe like Captain America, Black Cat, Iron Fist, Cloak and Dagger, Deathlok, Morbius and Firestar, all teaming up to battle an onslaught of villains led by Carnage, including Shriek, Doppelganger, Demogoblin and Carrion. Both the Genesis/Mega Drive and Super NES versions come in a red cartridge. They were later released in the normal cartridge colors (black for Genesis, gray for Super NES). The game was followed up by a sequel called Venom/Spider-Man: Separation Anxiety. Universal Studios Orlando used Maximum Carnage as the theme for a haunted house at Halloween Horror Nights in 2002.

Spider-Man: Edge of Time
Spider-Man: Edge of TimeSpider-Man: Edge of Time is a follow-up to Shattered Dimensions, and similarly it has more than one Spider-Man takes a starring role. Here, it is the regular, classic "Amazing" Spider-Man, and Spider-Man 2099 – in a story awash in time travel, temporal battles, and Anti-Venom. The backbone of this story seems to play out more like a Spider-Man 2099 story, since he is the only character truly aware of the happenings in the game, and the changes that both Spider-Men encounter. From the opening, things are bleak for Amazing Spider-Man who begins the game nearly dead, and 2099 is the only one who can help. A new villain Walker Sloan enters the picture with a plan to rebuild the past (from the year 2099) in his image and design, which turns to affect both Spider-Men. From this point, chaos unfolds in typical comic-book fashion with gameplay evenly split between Amazing Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2099, with every other level interwoven with the events of one Spidey to the other.

Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions
Spider-Man: Shattered DimensionsSpider-Man: Shattered Dimensions blends together the many alternate universes of the world-famous webslinger with four unique takes on Spider-Man's history in comics. In the game, Spider-Man attempts to retrieve a piece of a tablet that's been scattered across multiple parallel dimensions, and in doing so he crosses over to storylines famous to comic book aficionados as variant tellings (including The Amazing Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2099, Spider-Man Noir & Ultimate Spider-Man) of the Spider-Man mythology.
