The House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return (2008)

by H.I.C., Sega
Genres:Shooter
Themes:Horror
Game modes:Single player, Co-operative, Multiplayer
Story:This compilation bundles the following games: The House of the Dead 2 (Dreamcast) The House of the Dead III (Xbox) Both games were ported to the Wii with support for the Wii Zapper peripheral. A new Extreme mode is unlockable for The House of the Dead III, with faster enemy attacks and smaller bullet blast radii for the player's guns (similar to the handgun in the second game). At the same time, the shotgun can be reloaded much faster and a new melee attack is introduced: Guard Attack. It is a powerful move that also blocks incoming attacks, but requires a "reload" time.Show more

Killzone: Liberation
Killzone: LiberationKillzone Liberation is the sequel to the PS2 game Killzone. New to the franchise is the top-down/third-person perspective, instead of the PS2's first-person pure FPS approach. During the action, you can switch to a tactical overview to plan your actions. The screen zooms out and the actions are slowed down, while icons pop up to show the different actions and objectives. The game comes with a full range of Ad Hoc settings for multiplayer, with co-op and competitive play modes included, such as Deathmatch, Assault and Capture the Flag for up to six players.

Killzone 2
Killzone 2Killzone 2 is the third game in the Killzone franchise and continues the story two years after the events of the first two games. The gameplay consists of what the developers describe as Hollywood Realism, focusing on scripted, cinematic gameplay. The game is played entirely from the first-person perspective, except for the portions with vehicular combat with a tank and an exoskeleton. Next to the single-player campaign, there is squad-based multiplayer called Warzone with five different kinds of missions (Assassination, Search & Retrieve, Search & Destroy, Bodycount and Capture & Hold) based on seven kinds of classes. There is support for up to 32 players, with the addition of bots to fill the remaining spots.

Half-Life 2: Episode One
Half-Life 2: Episode OneHalf-Life 2: Episode One is the first of a planned trilogy of expansion packs/episodes for the 2004 first-person shooter game, Half-Life 2. The episode takes place immediately after the end of Half-Life 2, in the war-torn setting of City 17. The player is forced to deal with the effects of their actions during the main game. The episode is a stand-alone game; while a continuation of Half-Life 2, it does not require the original game to be installed or registered to a user's Steam account to play. It takes advantage of several major upgrades to the Source engine since the release of Half-Life 2, primarily its high dynamic range rendering capabilities and the upgraded facial animation system. Episode One was released together with Half-Life Deathmatch: Source, a port of the original Half-Life's multiplayer, which doubles as Episode One's multiplayer component. The retail copies of Episode One also come with Half-Life 2 Deathmatch for those who have not previously purchased the later title.
