This is the first game I remember really indulging in. Everything about this game blue my mind as a kid. The big open areas, the collecting of minicons to provide specific upgrades, the soundtrack, the boss battles. Everything about this game is so awesome I wish we could have gotten a sequel or a remaster or something. One of the most influential games for me and one of my most cherished possessions even though we never had the proper case for it.

Even as a fan on Transformers, this game pleasantly surprised my high expectations. Not only did it get me into games, but it challenged me to leave my comfort zone and keep going. Does it deserve a place here, a second chance? Absolutely.

This game was far better than anyone would have expected, and I hope for the opportunity to one day play this on pc. I know that a port of a ps2 exclusive might be a tall ask, but mouse control has the potential to make this game even greater.
The best transformers game pre War/Fall of Cybertron, and just like them left to be forgotten thanks to lapsing rights and the lack of care publishers have for their back catalog. Still have my ps2 copy, i just wish it was made available again.
this was the first open world game I ever played, the upgrades from minicons was awesome, the transforming was awesome, could have used some humans in there somewhere

Ill strip naked in a HEARTBEAT if you add this game and ill you exactly why, This game was my first introduction to ANY transformers game. I remember when i had to sneak into my uncles room knowing damn well i couldn't touch his console but i remember i just pressed this game on a whim, 2 hours later he came in caught me and put me in the meanest chokehold but god knows it was worth it. I love this game beyond measure because it really was the perfect transformers game, with its diverse boss fights and wide range of a map you genuinely feel like your playing as a transformer and while i loved fall of cybertron, war for cybertron, and the bayverse games i always had the urge to just drive around and this game allows you to do that and heres the best thing... RAGDOLLS!!! on a serious note if anyone sees this please add this holy game
I first came across this game as a demo in Driv3r. I was bored and figured hey, why not try it. It only had a single character (Hot Shot) and the first half or so of the first level... but damn if I wasn't hooked almost immediately. The customizable loadouts were great, the graphics (for the PS2) were great, transforming was fun (if not often necessary), the exploration tracking down every mini-con... it definitely made me sit up and try to track down the full game. And the demo was definitely representative of the full game. I'd still play it today, very happily. It's a little on the short side, when all's said and done? But far better that, with a game you can replay several times over without getting bored, than a game that overstays its welcome.
Those games also need your vote!

Super Turrican
Super TurricanThe lost colony of Alterra is a completely man-made lifeworld abandoned long ago in a nearby galaxy. Alterra is actually five colonies in one. Each self-contained habitat has been separately bio-engineered by a powerful ecosystem generation network known as a Multiple Organism Unit Link. MORGUL, for short. Early colonists used MORGUL to render Alterra inhabitable. But a cataclysmic quake severed all system interface functions, and MORGUL murderously rebelled. The few colonists lucky enough to escape told a grim tale of a higher intelligence gone berserk. For generations, mankind sought a return to Alterra. Finally, genetic science created a saviour: Turrican, a mutant warrior, bio-engineered for the task of planetary reclamation. In the meantime, MORGUL has diligently twisted Alterran life forms to his brutal, destructive purposes. Thus, Turrican's challenges consist in eliminating hostile organisms from Alterra's five multi-level worlds and, finally, destroying the three faces of MORGUL.

Turrican II: The Final Fight
Turrican II: The Final FightTurrican II: The Final Fight is a platformer/shooter as typically seen on consoles, but designed for home computers from the ground up. Its plot is - naturally - very simple: an evil mega-robot called The Machine attacks the United Planets Ship Avalon 1, slaughtering all who resist. All - except Bren McGuire, who manages to escape and slips into the experimental Turrican bionic armor. As Turrican, he strives to show The Machine who's the boss. Unlike other games of its type, this game contains three levels of horizontal shooter action in the spirit of R-Type or the developers' own Katakis. Six large worlds are to be explored, where you are basically free to go everywhere you want, since there is no automatic scrolling and the levels are packed with hidden extra lives and weapons. All those levels are very different: the first one in the rock desert is pretty colorful with parallaxing rainbow background and happy music, while the following worlds get darker and darker.

Turrican 3
Turrican 3After many generations of peace, the Dark Forces have assembled again, and as a member of the USS Freedom Forces, it is your job to defeat them once again. This means you will have to complete numerous large levels always searching for secrets to pick up and enemies to shoot. To do this, you can pick up three different, upgradeable shots: a multiple, a laser and a rebound. You can also go into wheel-mode (as long as you have enough special energy) or use a rope. In wheel-mode, you are invincible and can lay mines or explore previously unreachable areas.
