This game was an attempt at true love from developer labor. Frank Klepacki put his soul into almost every sound he and his coworkers made. Divine Intervention lives rent free in my head the second I think of thinking of this game. Not to mention the color palette and the grim atmosphere of the apocalypse. PLUS You can literally step on enemy structures as a weapon as the Hierarchy! In other words, to me, this game is life, BRING IT BACK.
I'm the owner and Creator of the ONLY UAW community Discord server with over 2000 members. And we would love to see this game back on steam, GFWL removed and better modding support! On behalf of our community we cant thank-you all enough for those that have voted.

I played this game for a bit just before going for a job interview, to reduce my stress level. I didn't wind up getting the job, but it's an indelible memory I have of this game.

A great game from the Dark Ages of Strategy games. Seriously this game drips with personality, each faction is different, the story is interesting. I mean the creators really put work into this and I would love to play it again, easily.
It was a special game for me, unique factions, amazing music and I played it on both the 360 and on PC. It was one of the few games on the now defunct Games for Windows Live that stuck with me. The game didn't receive the balance that the community could have probably given it for it to last long term, but it had so much spirit. This game somehow worms its way into my head when I think of older RTS titles I sank an obscene amount of time into.

This game is special. Factions are unique. Music is fantastic. In terms of history this game should be made possible to play by new players, so they can experience nice story, rich gameplay.
I played this on the Xbox 360 back in the day and it was my introduction to the RTS genre as a kid. I managed to snag a copy recently and it’s exactly as I remembered: I straight up good ol RTS game with great factions, music, and gameplay.
It's a real shame this was stuck with Games For Windows Live - an online service which violently opposed letting you play online - as it is a rock-solid, old-fashioned RTS livened up by the three wildly different alien races trading shots on Earth while the tiny humans could only sit back and watch. The zippy Novus robots and Stargate-ish Masari were good fun to play as, but the Hierarchy and their massive walking crab-tank factories were *immensely* satisfying.

One of the og rts that sadly didnt make it long term. With music similar to c&c and their macro but with the most original factions ever was unbalance? sure, was fun? hell yeah
It is a completely atypical RTS, Sure there are games that have factions that are different, but generally they are still bound to similar elements. Base Building for example. One factions bases WALK! I dont mean the buildings can move i mean the entire base walks around, you build stuff into the sides of it for unit production and weapons. It has an involved storyline, its big vs small, its got single player, a planet conquering mode, robots, AZTEC MAGIC! Its amazing and the only thing that killed it is it was part of Games For Windows Live, a service that ate every game that was put on it, and forced always online that harmed everything. People have made mods for this game, a community supported it through the dark times. Save it for them and others that never go the chance to experience this!
Those games also need your vote!
Toy Soldiers: War Chest
Toy Soldiers: War ChestToy Soldiers: War Chest is similar to the previous games where players prevent enemy units from reaching the toybox by building and upgrading turrets. In War Chest, turrets can be improved by upgrading armor, fire rate and damage separately. The enemy AI is improved as well. For example destroying a bridge will cause ground units to take a different path to the toybox. Certain units have the ability to heal nearby units and some will focus on destroying any placed turrets. Barrages and playable units from Toy Soldiers: Cold War returns with a few changes. Instead of earning killstreaks or destroying a specially marked enemy unit, the game uses a bar that fills up when killing enemy units. When the bar is filled to a certain amount, a special ability can used to call in barrages or spawn a hero unit such a zeppelin that performs a bombing run. The game features 4 highly customizable armies (8 in Hall of Fame Edition). Players can choose which turrets to deploy, barrages and modify the hero's arsenal. As the game progresses, new customization options will become available. The Hall of Fame Edition features four additional licensed armies based on fictional characters. This includes Duke and Cobra Commander from G.I. Joe, Ezio Auditore da Firenze from Assassin's Creed and He-Man from Masters of the Universe. The characters can be purchased separately or as a bundle on the standard version.
