If this got an English release it'd be amazing. The HD version adds a bunch of little QOL improvements and brings the game up to 60 fps, as well as ditching some input lag from the PS2 versions. It'd be a great way to experience the classic versions of these games. 1&2 are still some of the best in the series in my opinion and even though they have remakes in Kiwami 1&2, the experience is very different and both are worth playing on their own merits. It's just a shame that only the new versions are availible.

I would really like to experience the definitive remasters of these games! What I've played of Yakuzas 1 and 2 for the PS2 has been fun, and I think it's worthwhile to keep the originals around for the people who prefer them, because there are PLENTY.
I played this on my PS3 a while ago and got the platinum trophies for both games, and it's honestly the most fun I've had with this series since Lost Judgment. There's a lot to love about OG 1 & 2 and they should not be abandoned in favor of the Kiwami games because they are such different games. The HD editions are a nice upgrade from the PS2 versions. They reduce the input lag from the PS2 versions (which was my biggest problem with them), the higher resolution visuals are very nice and clear, and other QoL features like the item box being accessible at any save point is nice too. They still only run at 30fps however. I do think these versions are better than the PS2 versions, only problem is they're only in Japanese, and only on the PS3 (and Wii U lol), so it would be great to have these on PC in English one day.
Those games also need your vote!
