The cars remind me of some really clunky machines similar to what we saw in the 90's game "Police Quest"...;) I'm having a difficult time believing how bad the graphics are, apparently.
If you are using KB/M, you can switch to controller for the driving segments, and switch back for everything else.

smuggly: KB& mouse is touchy. But doable. I've seen worst.
Exactly. KB&M driving isn't much different than GTAV. Vehicle handling is a bit squirrely, but come on. This isn't a driving focused game so I don't expect the driving to be as good as GTAV. It's definitely far from the worst and easily playable if you are careful.
Don't really agree with this at all. The Watch Dogs comparison in this thread is crazy to me, the driving in 2077 is far, FAR easier than that garbage was. I described it as a "better GTA 4" to a friend, I think that's about right.
I find that the driving it's bad, and the controls are okay, unless you're doing like 100 or so, you can do the turns not a problem.

The issue for me is the other cars and the traffic lights. You never know when the other cars are going to start moving, red or green light regardless, and how the NPCs turn corners in this game just boggles my mind. They literally will swerve into oncoming traffic, then begin to turn, then crawl to like 2 MPH, then stop, then start slow again, then finally complete the turn.

My blind grandmother could do turns better then that. Almost every single one of my crashes has come on another car turning.

So driving is more realistic in this game. Lol
Is there a way to bind the vehicle controls to a wheel and pedal set? I've tried but it won't notice the input of the pedals or wheel.
Driving is so bad with a keyboard that I'm walking or using the 'taxi points' (if there is 1 near my destination - whicvh is too often not the case)

Krawu: I really have to wonder if you've driven a car before.
Driving feels pretty realistic to me and I'm crashing way less than I ever did in GTA.
Driving is absolutely dreadful on k+m
avatar
hampusjo95: not only is it clunky as hell but it has half a second delay between you pressing turn and the car actually turning leading to it being impossible to get to your destination without crashing at least 20 times.
at least no one seems to care that you need crashing into them

johncooper3: Driving reminds me of the first watchdog game. It was a lot better with a controller than a keyboard. I might try that later, but like others have said I'm just walking around most the time anyway.
Yup... Probably because it was designed with controller in mind and not keyboard...
driving is bad whether you have a kb or controller. i've used both and it doesn't matter because the cars handle poorly. the quadra is the biggest bait and switch i've seen because it looks cool but drives like garbage and it's supposed to be a sports car

If only they let K&M players steer with the mouse, just like Witcher 3, it would be fine.
I guess it's all a matter of personal taste.

No issues here with driving. I use mouse and Keyboard and works like a charm for me. Didn't crash once, able to drift around corners, etc. Just need to get used to how the vehicle handles.
But i can see why for some people it doesn't appeal. It's not a realistic driving system and it does feel off in the beginning.
The problem I am having with driving is that I feel like a 10 year old driving dad's car; I can barely see over the steering wheel and there is no head turn to look left or right.
Thus, I end up driving like a granny.

You can look left or right with the mouse.
