With minimal spoilers, as you progress in the Phantom Liberty DLC, you can obtain a crafting item called Active Chimera Core. Until you actually use this item to craft something, you can set it out on display on V's small table in her original apartment in Megabuilding H10; there's a blue hologram on the table indicating where it can be placed. Ever since obtaining this item, I get single-digit framerates (and one blue screen reboot) in the entire area of the building in, above, and below V's apartment, until I set the Active Chimera Core out on display, at which point the framerate immediately goes back to what it's supposed to be. The moment I pick the Core up again, the framerate tanks, and I can barely move. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there any way of preventing it from happening? I currently just have the Core on display on my room, and that works fine, but I'm terrified to actually pick it up to craft something with it now.

EDIT AND WARNING: After discovering this glitch and the workaround outlined above, I picked up the Core to put it back into my inventory, the framerate went back to where it should have been, and I saved my game inside of V's apartment. THE SAVE DATA WAS CORRUPTED THE NEXT TIME I TRIED TO LOAD IT. I make manual backups of all of my save data whenever I'm done playing a game, so I didn't lose any progress, but this is a pretty serious bug that needs to be fixed ASAP.

The corrupted save issue is on the list for the upcoming 2.01 patch. Advice is to maintain a clean manual save until the patch drops, as it will not repair corrupted saves.

Yeah, I make backups of every save after every game. But I hope this Core issue is on the list of fixes, because holy crap.
