For some time now, we’re working on relocating GOG Ltd. as a company from Cyprus to Poland (legally speaking our Cypriot GOG and Polish GOG are merging into one GOG located in Poland), and this should happen with the end of October. This whole endeavor requires a lot of paper work, mostly legal and financial, and time. It won’t affect your rights as users in any way, and you don’t have to do anything when the merger is done. There is one change that will happen, and we want to give you a heads up about it. Since we’re merging, we have to assign all the license agreements with all our partners to GOG located in Poland. We’ve been doing this for a while now, and almost all of them will be assigned. Unfortunately, some partners are very hard to reach, even for us, and since we didn’t manage to get their consents to this assignment we’ll have to remove a few titles from the catalogue until further notice.

Below you’ll find a list of all 15 titles that will be removed from the catalogue on October 31st, at 3 PM UTC. We will be doing everything to get those titles back, but we cannot promise when they will make a return to GOG, so this might be your last chance to buy them, or grab Warsow and AFK The Pirate Bay Away from Keyboard for free!

Titles to be removed on October 31st:

FRACT OSC
Slender The Arrival
Recettear An Item Shop's Tale
Chantelise - A Tale of Two Sisters
Warsow (free)
Mutant Mudds
Dyad
Sokobond
Chronology
Devil's Dare
The Ballads of Reemus: When The Bed Bites
TPB AFK: The Pirate Bay Away from Keyboard (free)

EDIT: Removed Fractured Soul, 99 Levels to Hell and Miasmata from the list as we managed to get consents to those assignments :)

GR00T: Your links are borked. ;)

*edit* Just a PSA for anyone reading the list: the only game on there I own is Sokobond, which I can highly recommend if you don't own it. Great little game.
Yup, fixed it. Thanks :)

Barefoot_Monkey: Thank you for the warning, elcook. As with games removed in the past, we'll still continue to have those games downloadable from our shelves, right?
Yes, definitely they will be staying on your shelfs. We just need to remove the from sales.

JMich: Good to know it's only 15, sad that a sale isn't happening (though I guess that would mean you actually got a hold of the publishers). Do you want us (the community) to see if we can reach said publishers or best to leave that to you?
Thank you for the offer, but leave it to us this time :)

tfishell: Don't worry about Carpe Fulgur games (afaik)! - https://twitter.com/SpaceDrakeCF/status/923255481379954688

Silly GOG, why didn't you even try Twitter? :P EDIT: I suppose for legal reasons/NDA they wouldn't want to even hint on this over Twitter (even tweeting at Andrew "Hey can you follow us so we can message you"), but still...
You know, sometimes Twitter is not the tool you'd like to use. And remember it's not our first contact with these guys, since we did sign agreements with them ;)
Nevertheless, let's hope more partners will reach out so we won't have to remove their games from the catalogue!

fronzelneekburm: Swallow your pride and just do it! Reach out to them on the friggin Steam forums if you have to, that's where most of the indie dev scum hangs out. Hell, only today did I realise that the company behind Slender has an actual community manager by the name of "Community Manager - Denis" that still regularly posts on the Steam forums. So maybe you guys - or some committed goglodyte; I'm looking at you tfishell, I know you have a Steam account! ;P - can reach out to him in a last-ditch attempt to get that latest build here. At least then you'll have exhausted all the possible avenues. It may not look professional, but you owe it to your customers to try everything to give them the best possible product.

Also, the fact that Cinemaware isn't being pulled seems to imply you're still in contact with the rights holders. Then why has the Cinemaware Anthology (that includes all the stuff that gog is selling for $17.97 and much, MUCH more for $9.99) not been released yet? What about that "way they're going to make it up to their customers" - back in 2014? Any word on that?

MarkoH01: I have to agree to this. Tbh I don't even understand why the GOG users were asked in this thread to not reach out to the devs/publishers to prevent those games from being removed. I simply don't see the downside contacting a developer/publisher as long as we both follow the same goal - keeping their games on GOG. It's not as if we would yell at them or anything. If I would - in theory - tell a dev/publisher that I like the game and I don't want it to be removed from GOG or that I am sad that it will be removed from GOG and ask them if they could help prevent doing this I see no reason why any dev/publisher should be angry about this ... and especially I don't see how any dev/publisher could then be angry at GOG - which is of course what should be avoided. People are sometimes hard to reach and legal contracts need to be signed. This is nobodys fault but imo in theory everybody could help to make this right. Nobody can forbid me to contact a dev when there is (again) a missing update on GOG so why now? Maybe there is something I am missing here?
But we won't forbid anyone to do so. We just don't want to actively ask you for that :)

DoctorGOGgles: While you're negotiating with Carpe Fulgur, could you please ask them, why Recettear and Chantelise on GOG don't have Japanese text, while you can easily switch to Japanese on Steam?
I've pestered GOG support about that multiple times in the past and they've tried to contact Carpe Fulgur about that and also failed, so maybe now's a good time to try again? You don't want Steam to offer a better version of the games than GOG, do you? ;)
Believe me we're on it for some time now. Hopefully we'll manage to get that done this time :)

blotunga: Why don't you guys sticky your announcements?
The thread was a STICKY for a week. I unsticked it when the removal was done, as I didn't see the point to keep it there longer.

HunchBluntley: So what was the deal with Flight of the Amazon Queen's removal (and the lack of its prior announcement)?
Flight of the Amazon Queesn is already back.
And so is 99 levels to hell!

BartsBlue: Very annoyed by the fact that I can't buy Alpha Protocol and Arma Golg on GOG anymore.
Alpha was never on sale here.

BartsBlue: I have bad feelings about last season of Walking Dead, too.
