Hey all! Unfortunately, the update will come at a later date. The silver lining here is that it may contain additional bug fixes. Our apologies for that inconvenience.

The date is as soon as Bethesda is done with hot-fixing and patching the next-gen update.
There's also Fallout: London which GOG is going to host/distribute and is probably set to launch alongside the next-gen update as well.
I'm not sure what problems Bethesda and GOG are having to get the Next-Gen update out the door... but I can confirm that the Halloween Creation Club content from the Next-Gen patch on Steam can be made to work with the GOG non-Next-Gen release, with little effort. I have it running in the screenshot. The only issue, is that GOG Fallout 4 sees it as a mod and not a CC or Bethesda add-on, so it disables achievements.

Also got the Remnants CC Next-Gen content working in GOG's Fallout 4 (see screenshot of Echoes of the Past quest starting), but for some reason the Weapons content keeps crashing the game... but 2 out of 3 Next-Gen content items are better than none. I really hope GOG is officially able to include the Next-Gen Creation Club content, as it's really fun.

This is running in a non-modified version of Fallout 4 GOG's latest non-beta release.

Hey all, just to be clear: we're still actively working on bringing the next-gen patch here.

It proved to be more difficult than expected but we're determined to make it happen. Once again apologies for the inconvenience.

Thanks king_kunat!
I appreciate GOG's hard work on the Fallout 4 next-gen version of the game.

I'm curious, what's the main blocker with the update here? Is it trying to work out the creation club stuff with Bethesda or something different?

Most likely the subsequent patches for the update, which, as per Bethesda's usual modus operandi not only fixed issues but introduced new ones as well.
Since GOG's also going to host the Fallout: London total conversion it'd only make sense to wait for the team behind that to sort out any compatibility issues they might have with the next-gen update and its patches.
To drop both at the same time.

It's amazing how the update nobody asked for is delaying the mod everyone was waiting for :D
We just need to wait it out.

As far as I see it, gog is doing us all a favour with the delayed patch, that way more people can download the earlier build. :)

It's a shame about Fallout: London though, would love to finally play that mod/conversion. :D
