Hey all! Unfortunately, the update will come at a later date. The silver lining here is that it may contain additional bug fixes. Our apologies for that inconvenience.

rawmilk905: Honestly I couldn't care less. Graphics are a bit overdone/demanding/space-hogging/overemphasized on this entry to begin with, while gameplay, story, and lore are where it falls short. So go ahead and shove your next-gen update.
I am also not interested in this upgrade. But the fact that is still not asvailable on GOG 10 months after release makes me worried about future Bethesda releases and updates on GOG.
Yeah, getting the update is not the point in itself, first of all every game should be up to date on GOG, period (allowing rollback of course), second Bethesda games are super dependent on mods so you naturally want the latest version, since that's the base modders take, and third it would be a pretty bad sign if we don't get it

It not being here 10 months after release doesn't really bother me, we usually wait a lot longer.
But it was announced for May on GoG (2024) and that irritates me.
I really hope they stick to the announced release for KCD2 (ish at least).
Where is update? What takes soo long? Bugfixes huh, I don’t think so…
Bethesda don’t care about GOG.
Talking of Bethesda, what are your guys expectations for Elder Scrolls VI?
Seems lately only small studios can make decent games anymore, and
Bethesda is no small studio...
The next gen update should come as a separate offlline installer.
I'll think we will never get this Update. We wait over 10 Month and nothing happens or we get Informations. This is no good Support :-(
We'll probably get the next big updates for the London mod before Bethesda updates the main game around here. TBH, fine by me at this point.

Well, from what I've heard, Todd Howard prefers Steam over GOG. IMO that's the reason he's shining us on.
Any news on the update? It's been almost 11 months since it was announced that the update would also be coming to GOG. :C
I am interested in this update for its own sake.

The Next Gen Update is required for The Midnight Ride modlist. Last time out, I installed a jiggered up version of TMR that mostly worked, but I'd greatly prefer not to have to do that again, or buy the Steam Version - not because of the cost, there are cheap keys available - but, because every time I play Skyrim on Steam, I have to open the Steam client before hitting SKSE. It's just an extra step I'd rather avoid.
A little update would be welcomed, just a simple "the update is still being worked on at Bethesda's end" just to know it hasn't been forgotten, you know :D

Exactly, and not just TMR, pretty much every modlist requires the next-gen update and a ton of new mods use next-gen assets or the latest modding kit, it's really not about the content (we all know it's a mishmash of creation club content that doesn't add anything significant) but the compatibility and ease
I'm surprised this game is the only Fallout game (and Skyrim being the only Elder Scrolls game) that has not been given way via Amazon Prime. I hope they do someday; I just need these two games to complete my collection!
Watching (some of) y'all go through the five stages of grief in this thread has been very entertaining LMAO
April 25, 2024. Then we can celebrate one-year without Next-Gen on GOG. Sad because I really enjoy Fallout 4 and would love to get back into it.
