jnkube: I have installed and removed this multiple times, downloaded muiltiple times, but every time I launch the damn thing I get a fatal error: Essential components needed to start GOG Galaxy are missing. Please reinstall the application.

no idea what it means and no idea how to fix it, I am running OSX El Capitan 10.11. i have the update for 10.11.6 or .8 but it is nt installed. have to rebuild my mac to get those installed. I think I'm pushing up against the physical limits of it.
Try removing the contents from following directories:
/Library/PrivilegedHelperTools/com.gog.galaxy.ClientService
/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.gog.galaxy.ClientService.plist

You can open it using the "Go to Folder" command accessible with the Command+Shift+G key combination or selecting Go > Go to Folder from the Finder menu.

Then restart your MAC and please and try to launch Galaxy.
