Retired Now but have experience in hardware, Real time programming, Test and trails, QA over 40 years. There are probalby many more like me(Probably many Younger :}. Have been a gamer since early 80's, Unix/Linux programmer since the 90's and I've always believed Linux as the superior operating system. I want to help move gaming to Linux. If Major game developers won't put the effort in porting their games to Linux then the effort has to be put into wine. Steam has really pushed this forward recently with Proton and dxvk. CS Projekt Red Here's a suggestion. Ask for volunteer resources. You might be suprised at what you get. The future is built by those who dare. e.g. Elon Musk

Elon Musk isn't a person who dares. He opportunes.

But otherwise I get the idea of your fluff piece.

Maby U didn't agree with my examples but which did U consider as fluff either Linux or Wine development.
If you want to address CD Projekt, you should go to their forums. My understanding is same login as on GOG works there as well. On the other hand, this seems more of a GOG.com thing unless their owners (CD Projekt) have clearly ordered them not to waste money on Linux, which would not surpreise me at all. If they are smart, they ask a certain American company for a bit of a bribe to stay away from developing Galaxy for Linux. Most megacorporations seem thoroughly rotten through and through to me so they might very well get something. Intel, at least, have been proved in court to have bribed companies to stay away from the competition.
I also believe GOG should come up with Galaxy for Linux ( as they had mentioned when Galaxy was first released). It is high time to do so.

Yes, with Proton and such software, Steam is gaining even more domination on the linux market.
Also, of note is that being absent (mostly) on Linux makes them dependant on MS's OS and ecosystem, while Steam can easily depend on Linux as an alternative market space.

Especially with the fiasco that WIN10 is turning increasingly with its feature updates, it becomes increasingly difficult to use WIN10 as a daily driver.

Also I believe many Linux ports are missing on GOG, while their windows versions are available. GOG should really look into this aspect with seriousness.
The new Corporate Gaming industry is not gamer friendly. I won't name them because they are well known.
Where is the sense of emersion like Morrowind, Rome Total War, Sea Dogs, Freelancer or Alpha Centuri.
Several new games I consider as Fluff. Basic shoot-um-ups on the same level of Wolfenstein which was fine for the the early 90s but are shallow compared the maturity of games like Witcher 3. My interest in promoting Linux gaming is because many older quality games no longer work on Win 10 but still work on wine. Win 10 gaming has become a short leash form of gaming (Which I resent) that keeps you either permanantly loggedin or slaved to a server wiich could go down at the company's descescion. I remember an era when I first Launched Star Comtrol 2 and was amazed. (Sorry Early 1990s) But there was a feeling that you were on an amazing adventure. Just want to bring back the sense of wonder. Sorry if I feel if it's missing today.
