We’re thrilled to announce the GOG Dreamlist!

This updated and improved version of the well-known Community Wishlist allows you to vote for the games you’d like to see on GOG. Your votes help us, our partners, and the rights holders understand which titles matter most to you.

Whether it’s a beloved game from your childhood or a title you’ve always wanted DRM-free, your votes guide our efforts to bring them to our platform—giving them a forever home in your library.

With the GOG Dreamlist, we’ve focused on improving the interface, consolidating threads for specific games, and providing more ways to discover and vote for new titles.

Each game on Dreamlist now has its own game card, featuring a detailed description, screenshots, and trailers. As passionate gamers ourselves, we know that every game carries a unique story. That’s why we’ve added a Stories section to the game cards, where you can share your memories, making your vote a powerful message of why these games matter.

We’ve also introduced enhanced browsing and filtering options, making it easier to find the next game you want to vote for and help bring to GOG.

As always, we welcome your feedback. We’re confident that GOG Dreamlist provides a better, more scalable tool to support further development and help us bring even more amazing games to our community.

With all that said we invite and ask you to explore the Dreamlist, cast your votes, and share your memories!
Hey all! We’ve been hard at work to make your GOG Dreamlist experience smoother, more intuitive, and simply more fun. We thought it'd be good to sum up the most important things that we've improved over the past few weeks.

Enhanced navigation

- Improved responsive pagination with automatic scroll-to-top when switching pages—saving you time.

- You can now search directly from a game card—less clicking, more voting!

Stay informed

- Real-time notifications when someone likes your story, or a new story is added to a game you follow. (We’re also working on a notification for when a game you voted for launches on the GOG store, which should come in handy soon)

- Stories now fully support special characters, and you can track upvotes on your own stories.

- View your stats section to see how many votes you’ve cast, games you’ve added, and to learn more about your activity.

- Check out other gamers’ profiles by clicking on their usernames to see who’s behind the stories and entries.

Streamlined filtering & sorting

- Active filters are now displayed as pills for better visibility.

- New quick-filter options and sorting by title or relevancy give your game catalog a fresh twist every visit.

- Easily filter games with or without user stories—and reset your selections in one click.

Discover your next favorite game

- The “I’m Feeling Lucky” button is available in both the hero section and on game cards—to jump into a random Dreamlist game instantly.

The work is, of course, not done yet, and we'll be adding new features and improvements.

idbeholdME: Wondering what database GOG is using for adding games to the list. Because so far, I haven't encountered a game it didn't know, even when I was drawing from my "obscure" pile.

If it's mentioned somewhere, I do apologize for being blind.

EDIT:
Found a game the database has absolutely no material for, but still suggested it for addition:
https://www.gog.com/dreamlist/game/March-Offworld-Recon

Impressive.
The database is very complete, it seems to be the same as for GOG Galaxy but I don't know how GOG maintains this list.
I only found one game that isn't in this list: Virtual Volvy E-Pet from itchio.
While I do appreciate GOG making the dream list, what are the chances that any of them actually get released? How many new games per year does GOG release on average?

I've bookmarked the ones I voted on just in case, but I don't want to get my hopes up. I suppose I could peruse ebay for my old games, but I hate paypal. I don't know. :(
I like it. All the available info in one place.
May I suggest a Tower Defense tag? I would like one.

GOG should just release the most anticipated game, one or two per week.

Theres just so many things people that people already requested over the decades. Just release them already. GOG has been well established at this point. I'd even go so far and say release them all at once, but ensure these games work out of the box has priority. Quality of quantity.

The main issue isn’t what GOG wants to do - it’s whether the developers or publishers are willing to sell their game on GOG, or if the game itself is stuck in some kind of licensing or legal limbo. In both cases, a game's position on a community wish... I mean Dreamlist, doesn’t make much of a difference.

For the first scenario, the rights holder must be willing to release the game on GOG. If they are open to it, negotiations between them and GOG will determine the outcome. You could argue that the Dreamlist might provide some leverage in these negotiations, but if the rights holder is fundamentally unwilling to sell the game on GOG, it’s unlikely to change their stance.

If the issue is licensing or legal complications, then the Dreamlist has no impact at all. Resolving such matters requires a legal team to track down the relevant rights holders and clear up any issues. Some publishers, like Nightdive Studios, specialize in doing this, but they operate based on their own business interests, not GOG’s.

Bottom line - GOG cannot just sell a game if they do not have the rights to sell that game, no matter how many votes they have on the Dreamlist.

I'm sure they'd want to, but there's that pesky problem of distribution rights...
And you're contradicting yourself with the last sentence.

Dray2k:
The chances are pretty much the same as before, but this is just one more piece of evidence that GOG has some good PR people lately, since their campaigns and stunts really get attention, which may go some way toward greasing some gears which had been stuck before.
And apparently there were 664 titles released in 2024, but Alexim is going to put up a list soon.

No, actually, that’s not the case. He says 'quality of quantity,' which is correct, not 'quality over quantity.'

The full saying is: 'Quality over quantity, but quantity has a quality of its own.'

My thoughts on the Dreamlist:
- Is more organized and much easier to use than the old wishlist.
- There should be a way to report duplicates and games that are already on GOG.

Games already on GOG:
BioShock 2: https://www.gog.com/dreamlist/game/bioshock-2
Hidden & Dangerous 2: https://www.gog.com/dreamlist/game/hidden-dangerous-2

That gives me some hope, then. Thanks. As I said elsewhere, worst case, I'll just have to check ebay and see if I can find some old game cd's, but I'd rather buy from GOG to be honest.

Agreed, take note GOG, less talk and more action...

The Community Wishlist for "Games" is now moving to GOG Dreamlist
You can still browse older entries and comments. Soon, we will switch the "Games" section to read-only mode.
Yes, please do keep all the old entries and comments, many have a lot of really important information. For example, people have written about who owns the licenses, and history related things and a lot of info that can be really useful when looking for the old games :)

I also noticed that the new wishlist lets us filter the list to see which games we have voted for which is great!

I think it is a good strategy to get the gog community voting more on games they want and leverage this activity to convince IP holder to bring their games here.

Otherwise, unless they got an offer, it is not like they can decide on their own that a game will be sold here. Much of their work on that front is one of deal making and persuasion.

Will threads on the old community wishlist with 100 votes still be moved over to the new one?

Also, am I allowed to include links to music videos in the "stories" section to show if I think that the in-game track does a better job of capturing the tone of the game than a provided trailer?

Aside from that, there are quite a few games that I was interested in but never got to play myself for various reasons including the game not releasing on a platform that I owned. Can I also post such such sentiments? It's not just nostalgia that makes people interested in older titles.
The "games" section in the old Community wishlist page will be read-only soon.
I don't think that Rockstar Games will allow Max Payne (and/or other games) to be here...

I think you're right, and it's unfortunate. Personally, I don't do Steam. I wont.
