GOG has the unique case of selling old games that even back then were considered BAD.

So I am just curious to ask.

Me well one golden turd I have is Ultima 9. I have not played it yet I am curious to see its badness for myself. Yeah Spoony covered it in detail but still I need to try myself.

I always wonder which one was the bigger mess, Ultima 9 or Might and Magic 9......

U9 was rushed, MM9 looks like an unfinished game. pick your poison?

GOG has 14 games released no later than 2005 and with a star rating of no more than 2.9 (arbitrary numbers). Here is the list sorted by ascending star rating:

It seems no game comes even close to Master of Orion 3.

I own this one, but not on GOG. I picked it up in a bargain bin a number of years ago for 2 bucks. I knew nothing about it and bought it on a whim. I've yet to actually play it.

One of these days I've gotta play my copy of Daikatana. My gut tells me it's not as bad as they say, though.

I own LSL:MCL but have yet to play it. I got it (which I understand is in no way connected to Al Lowe) because I played the originals when they came out (I was a horny teenager in the 80s) and I loved them...I figured I'd at least give this one a try at some point.

The collector's edition of the remake will (?) include MoO 1, 2 & 3... I can already see keys of MoO 3 flying all over the forum in search of some love... :D

If we're going by MaGOG's list, I have 8 out of the 14.

I have 5. However I don't have MoO3 :P

I brought Ultima IX (infact it was my first purchase on gog) because it was the cheapest game in promo about a dollar and The Witcher EE was free with it.
I haven't even played Ultima 9 yet.

I have Might and Magic 9, though I haven't played it. I have listened to the soundtrack, however.

I have read that the game has a glitch that lets you cast Divine Intervention (which restores your SP in that game) without the once per day limit, allowing you infinite healing and SP recovery. Of course, it's still not as powerful as tricks in Morrowind (where I can get my current Fatigue/Magicka up ridiculously high, then gain Health by taking falling damage) or the glitches in early Pokemon games (which even allow for arbitrary code execution).

I have them all and I blame GoG sales.

I only have a couple from the list, mostly because I like having complete series.
Although I personally enjoyed U9 and Daikatana back in the day.
