I don't own Ultima 9 on GOG, but I have the boxed version, in French (which I don't speak) and I wasn't able to play it (due to bugs). I did frame the map and it hang on my wall for a few years.

Bouchart: One of these days I've gotta play my copy of Daikatana. My gut tells me it's not as bad as they say, though.
It really isn't. I haven't played through all of it (I've gone through the first handful of levels). From what I've played, it's nothing mind-blowing, but it's still fairly enjoyable.

People had high expectations before it was released, so people ended up being disappointed by the final product. I suppose this doesn't really need to be mentioned, but people love to equate 'not up to my expectations' with 'WORST GAME EVER!".

If you want to see a 'worst game ever' candidate, Nerd Cubed just did a video on a game that was recently released via Steam, Galactic Hitman.

Really, there's a big difference between disappointing and terrible. Daikatana is not terrible.
The fact that most just happen to be very anticipated sequels to venerated series that didn't live up to expectations (and that includes romero's daikatana, though not a sequel persei) points to the fact that they are probably not as bad as depicted.
Didn't play any of the, though. But what I heard about Simon The Sorcerer 3D is that deep within is a very similar game -story and humour wise- to the previous ones-. With a very ugly 3d frosting.
I own all these. As above, Daikatana didn't seem overly bad, though I only played about half of it. U9 I played for a short while and control was difficult, but then U7 was so good, U8 was ok, so might just be biased. As for the others on that list, well I have a backlog of some 2-3 lifetimes, so if I ever get round to them :o)
I only have Supreme Ruler from the list above and have yet to play it. I will almost certainly pick up Body Blows at some point due to my Amiga love.

Elmofongo: Me well one golden turd I have is Ultima 9. I have not played it yet I am curious to see its badness for myself. Yeah Spoony covered it in detail but still I need to try myself.
I played Ultima 9 about 1-2 years ago and it's actually a decent game. Unfortunately it's ridden with bugs so i can't finish it. After 3-4 hours i came to a place where the game would always crash (IIRC it was on a pirate ship with a huge snake in a cage).

I'd actually love to finish it one day so has anyone managed to play through it or are there any new bug fixes/patches?
Yeah, I bought Body Blows. The title should have been a clue as to its quality. (I seem to recall it being better on the Amiga, but that could just be due to nostalgia goggles.)

I don't own Daikatana on GOG, but I have a physical copy. And no, it's not as bad as people say. Just mediocre (and buggy).

Ophelium: If we're going by MaGOG's list, I have 8 out of the 14.
0 for me. Most of them don't run on Win7 anyway.

mrkgnao: ...
Quick reference chart ;-):
1 Master of Orion 3
2 Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude: Uncut and Uncensored!
3 Ultima™ 9: Ascension
4 Ultimate Body Blows
5 Daikatana
6 Lords of the Realm 3
7 Simon the Sorcerer 3D
8 Crusaders of Might and Magic
9 Kingdom: The Far Reaches
10 MegaRace 3
11 Supreme Ruler 2010

I have 2 (even played it a little), 3, and 4.

IMO Daikatana isn't that bad. Solid shooter.

LSL:MCM-UAU is a really bad LSL game, but on it's own it's a mildly entertaining mini game collection . But having it star Ron Jeremy as "The Porn Fairy" was worth playing it :-P

I have a (German censored) CoMM disk version. Censorship aside it's a rather boring and mediocre game. But not abysmal.

Never tried Ultima 9, but some people say, if it wasn't called Ultima it would have been rather decent.
That reminds me, I do own Megarace 1+2 on here, which are arguably bad. And Blood 2. But I couldn't honestly tell you if that's a bad game, because it has never worked properly on any machine I've owned (this goes for the GOG version too).
Only Angel of Darkness and Deathtrap Dungeon. (And Daikatana on Steam; I guess it was part of some bundle.)
I have Daikatana, because it was cheaper to take it in the bundle than not.

I have Simon the Sorcerer 3, and can attest to its horribleness. My dream is that the 2D conversion gets done some day :D.
Looking at the list:
Simon the Sorcerer 3D

Have not played it yet, but wanted to complete the series and also I am curious to see how bad it really is :D
I guess it's OK to have those games here just for completionist sake, many of them are some kind of milestone in gaming history (and this position isn't necessarily defined by being a good game... Daikatana?) or are just the ugly ducklings in their respective renowned series. I can't see any justification for Kingdom: The Far Reaches, though.
