^ forgot that DirectX 1-9 games can be a pain in the neck on Win 8-11 and might need a DirectX-Wrapper (like DGVoodoo2, DXWnd, DXVK, etc) to correct the calls and deal w/ other "old game problems" (i.e. need PhysX drivers, in this game's case)

(I'd have to check Sacred 2 Gold on W10/11 myself).

I know, I probably should give S2: Gold a shot on W10/11.
