I bought cyberpunk-2077 back in (if i remember this correctly) Christmas of 2020, played it for a whole year, then just up and stopped due to how buggy it was.

I wanted to try and replay it recently but now it appears I dont even own it anymore.

No I did not get it from some crappy key reseller online, I remember specifically buying a phyiscal case that had a CD with all of the games music on it, and a key for the game. The thing itself was made and sold by GOG so the game itself shouldn't have just up and disappeared.

All I know is that I still have a folder with all my save games in it, but I quite literally do not have a Cyberpunk2077.exe ANYWHERE.
Wrong account, maybe?

There exists both Kitty12 (1 game) and a Kitty1212 (2 games, 10 hours playtime), considering your nickname, maybe one of them (or both) is yours too.

Edit: Kitty1212's profile shows CP2077

How many accounts do people have?
Why do people have different accounts?
How is it possible for one to not realize in which account they're in??!!

CarChris: Why do people have different accounts?
For a service you rarely/hardly ever use, it can be quicker to create a new account than to try figure out your old credentials (and possibly go thru password reset etc) in a hurry.

Contact support.
Do you still have the box with your gamekey (even better with receipt)? If so, you should be able to use that to get your account back, when support asks for some proof.

Open a support ticket. They'll ask for some kind of proof of account ownership. As pointed out above, a photo of the box with the game code (and optionally, the receipt) should do.
Sorry about the slow response.
I did end up contacting support but they have not contacted me back yet.
Hopefully I can get into my older account.

I dont have the receipt but I do have the box with the card that has the key and the "gogalaxy.com/yourcyberpunk" text on it. Thanks for telling me that.

CarChris: (1) How many accounts do people have?
(2) Why do people have different accounts?
(3) How is it possible for one to not realize in which account they're in??!!
To (1) and (3): that's basically impossible to answer.

To (2) I can think of three answers:

- when GOG created our account pages (we hadn't those in the beginning), they made personal info (number of games owned, personal wishlists, etc) publicly visible, with no possibility for us customers, to change that.
I assume a lot of people created second accounts to avoid "revealing" their personal stats with every new comment (I did that, and only used that second account, until the situation got resolved, and we received the possibility to choose our own settings, the way we wish).
Of course, that doesn't explain OP's (at least) three accounts (from 2018, 2020 and 2021).

- then there were people with (several?) alt accounts, who used these to downvote other's comments (and upvote their own?)

- and last but not least: if you tie only one game to an account, you can theoretically sell that account/game later on...
It's always these accounts with no avatar and one to zero games that complain about having lost cyberpunk...

@BreOI72 and @SargonAelther , What bothers me the most is that such accounts always make it sound (in their thread's title and usually the first post too) like it's always GOG's fault if something is amiss...
nvm

No problem, and that's the card I was thinking about and it should be enough to get your account back, the receipt was just thought as a "bonus" if you still had it.

As Ice_Mage wrote, a picture of it (plus a handwritten note with date and ticketnumber by it's side) has apparently worked for others, because hijackers trying to get the account this way can't easily get their hands on physical keycard or find/fake a picture with both the exact gamecode and handwritten ticketnumber.

Good luck!

Is it a complaint or a celebration? I didn't read the thread, just going off the title it really could be either.

Should have one, maybe a second if you bought games that are Kid-friendly and want to just keep it separated out and leaving downloads accessible.

Honestly you need 0-1 accounts depending on things.

I remember my GF had Google-Maps installed (2013?). Then it up and disappeared one day. Very suspicious.

Though seeing the rest of the responses i do hope you get access to your account again soon.
