However, since we've heard something through the grapevine...
Yes, we are working on Dawnwalker!"

Predominantly red colour scheme, "Dawnwalker" - suggests something Vampire-, or more specifically Dhampir-related?
You play as a folklore monster just minding your own business when a group of bigoted hunters called The Belchers start making trouble.
Drinking weird concoctions that gives them a momentary boost in abilities for the small price of infertility and periodical belching, the group begins a crusade against you and you kind.
Avoid their smelly breaths and fight for your right to suck blood!

..Or so I imagine the potential plot.

"Rebel Wolves Signs Publishing Deal with Bandai Namco Entertainment for Upcoming Debut Action-RPG, Dawnwalker

Rebel Wolves, co-founded in 2022 by industry veteran Konrad Tomaszkiewicz (Game Director - The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt), is pleased to reveal its new strategic partnership with Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe.

Under the agreement, Bandai Namco Entertainment will become the global publisher of Rebel Wolves’ upcoming debut title, the first game of the Dawnwalker saga, taking on responsibility for both the retail and digital distribution of the new RPG upon its release on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox.

Bringing together a talented team of developers, including members of the core team behind one of the most acclaimed games of all time - The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt along with its expansions, Rebel Wolves’ first title is a dark fantasy narrative sandbox, AAA action-RPG set in medieval Europe. This brand-new IP is aimed at mature audiences and is powered by Unreal Engine 5.
The studio will reveal more information about the project in the coming months.

Speaking on behalf of Rebel Wolves, Chief Publishing Officer, Tomasz Tinc had this to say about the newfound partnership, “Rebel Wolves is a new studio built upon solid foundations: a combination of experience and fresh energy. Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe, a company known for its dedication to the role-playing genre and willingness to engage with new IPs, is a perfect match for our wolfpack. Not only does it share our values, but also its track record in publishing narrative-driven RPGs speaks for itself.” further adding, “We're looking forward to working with them to bring the first chapter of the Dawnwalker saga to gamers worldwide.”

Equally excited about this mutually beneficial partnership, Alberto Gonzalez Lorca VP for Business Development at Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe, added, “This is another key milestone in our content development strategy for the Western market. By combining our strengths, we will deliver this first game of the studio to a worldwide audience. We’re excited with the universe being created by Rebel Wolves thanks to their extremely talented team of developers, resulting in a great addition to our portfolio.”

A thrilling development in the Dawnwalker journey, the Rebel Wolves team can’t wait to share more in the coming months!"

Aren't Namco the same ones who CDP had the Witcher distribution deal with at first and who sued them for patching out the DRM, and then for not implementing regional pricing on GOG for it? Heh...

Swedrami: (...)
But of all the companies... it needed to be Bandai Namco?
Bye bye GOG chance for their next game. :(
Not if this is that kind of deal where the developer gets to have a say on which platforms the game in question is being released on.

The teaser loop over on Twitch already looks (and sounds) more promising than the Witcher IV reveal.

Yeah... call me crazy, but I'm gonna wait untill we actually know something about this game.
Awesome, Swedrami stirs the thread with yet another uninformative post.
Not their fault, mind. But just that rather speaking on the matter, this has revealed less than nothing and should have been reserved for an artbook or something.
It's nice to have goals. Cloud Imperium Games has goals, had goals and even stretch goals. And as of October 2024 it's impressive. Only tongues are missing.
