It probably wants to be friends.

Monstrum is now available DRM-free, 80% off until November 12th, 4pm UTC.

Escape three unique apex predators through procedurally generated levels and the threat of permadeath looming overhead. Try different tactics, procure items that could help you, distract it, hide, scream like a little girl, reload.

Get the Soundtrack for your collection, also 80% off until November 12th, 4pm UTC.
Just in perfect time for Halloween. Oh wait.. :p

Jokes aside, thanks to Team Junkfish and GOG team for bringing it here. It's always nice to see more survival horror games in GOG's catalogue. :)
Strange that the VR support isn't even mentioned. But then again, I don't think that the game felt right in VR, for whatever reason. I actually consider trying it again, with an old-fashioned monitor!

Dammit, GOG! You really have it in for my poor wallet this week, haven't you?
Nice release, but I noticed this on the front page. It doesn't bother me, but I thought it would probably be best to bring it up before someone else makes a big deal about it. Regardless, thank you for the release.

this looks really really nice

and at that price, can't go wrong.
Oh, and there I was, in my corner, mocking all those who've already bought on steam the latest gog releases.

Alas alas, my turn.
Oh, procedurally and permadeath. Thanks for the warning.
Hmm, it sounds like Alien Isolation in a different context but with some different gameplay mechanics, is that right?
Looks interesting but I’m not a fan of permadeath. I’m just not good enough at games to enjoy that kind of punishment. Games are supposed to be fun not a chore, which is lost on some of these developers. But to each their own. I’m sure some people like the challenge.
Damnit, I JUST bought this on Steam during the Halloween sale. I would have much rather had it here. :(

I haven't played it yet, but my impression is the game isn't all that long. So it ends up being more like a roguelike where you just start a new game if you die (and potentially if you live since there are supposedly multiple monsters).

It's Alien: Isolation where the monster is randomized from a pool of 3 and the option(s) of available escape are randomized. Oh, and there's little-to-no story to get engrossed by (if that's your preference).

Each of the three monsters has a differing gimmick/hook to facilitate a change in play style once you determine which one you're up against.
got this game drm free years ago, somewher eelse... i am surprised to finally reach it here too :)

it is a quite decent horror game, tbh...
VERY good horror/survival game! As Vinny of Vinesauce put it, Monstrum is Slender but also a good game.
Another instabuy! Is it just me or is GOG really knocking it out of the park today?
