Win official Witcher jigsaw puzzles and wolf head medallions!

We have a couple more gifts to hand out before our 5th birthday celebration comes to an end. For starters, just to spoil you all, we're giving away a free copy of The Witcher: Enhanced Edition with every purchase on GOG.com, until Thursday, October 17 at 9:59 AM GMT. If you haven't had the chance yet to meet Geralt of Rivia, the white-haired monster slayer, this is your most affordable ticket to the Witcherverse. That's not all, however. CD Projekt RED was kind enough to share some official Witcher merchandise with us, and we want to give it all away to you, dear users! But, as you may have expected, this does not come without a challenge.

Are you good with pixel-art? This competition is perfect for you! We want to see your Witcher-related pixel-art. Be it scenes, character's, classic 2D or isometric, 8-bit or 16-bit palette, invented game screen-shot mock-ups--it's up to you. There are two important rules: your image needs to be up-scaled x2 (that means 2x2 pixels) after it's done, so it can be viewed without too much squinting, and the resulting up-scaled image must be no larger than 600x600 pixels in size. Apart from that, it's all you and your creativity!

The two top submissions win the official Witcher beautiful jigsaw puzzles, and a code for $9.99 GOG.com game. Three runner-ups get Witcher wolf-head medallions and a $5.99 GOG.com game. You have time until Monday, October 14, at 9:59AM GMT to submit your work in the forum thread below. Good luck, and have fun!

Notice: You retain rights to your submitted work, but by entering the compo you grant us the right to present your submission on our site and social media channels (with all due credit, of course).

Sachys: Nice one - and a challenge as I'm no good with pixel art.

Also, thanks for adding the small print regarding rights! :)
A very nice artist taking part in the I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream creative contest explained in great detail to us, why is it important to do so. :-)

jamyskis: Random question: Does it have to be original pixel art or can it be original assets image-processed?
It needs to be original and made from scratch.

csmith: GOG must hate their interns. Still churning through the massive number of entries from the past two weeks and here comes a new one.
Yeah... Interns. Yeah... :-(

Simauskas: Hi everyone. Here's my submission.

Good luck all!
A little late to the party, I'm afraid. Too bad, as this is one of the nicest entries. I can't allow you to enter the main contest, but some kind of consolation prize might happen for you, if The Enigmatic T agrees.

No more entries beyond this point, please.

meisjoe: I thought we had until 9:59AM today? Hmmmm.... Oh well! :)
That's 9.59AM GMT. That's the timezone we refer to in most of our infos. I know this might be confusing to some of you, but we have to stick to one timezone and we chose this one. Sorry you've missed the deadline. You're more than welcome to post your work anyway, but I won't be able to award it anything, I'm afraid.
The Results Are In!

The number of absolutely amazing entries we've got for this contest made our heads spin. The fact that CD Projekt RED's The Witcher has such great and creative fandom on GOG.com makes us both happy and proud. It was no easy task to pick the winners and some friendships were put to a harsh test around our office, but when the dust settled and the battlefield cleared, we found ourselves with the following decision:

1st place: Johanz

Your amazing meditating Geralt piece captured our hearts with its mood, but we were mostly amazed by your excellent technique, which is most visible in the beautifully designed GUI. You win a jigsaw puzzle set and a $9.99 gift-code.

2nd place: SuperForace

Your beautiful roses love scene takes Geralt and Triss straight into the golden age of point and click adventure. This is perfect, and we love it! You win a jigsaw puzzle set and a $9.99 gift-code.

3rd place: Perski

The 16-bit beast battle scene you've done looks as if it came from an actual classic game. A game, we would love to have existed. Having such title on GOG.com would make us happy. You hear that, CD Projekt RED? ;-) Anyway, you win a wolf-head medallion and a $5.99 gift-code.

4th place: Igmon

We love a good laugh, and your three-headed monkey combat deception piece gave us just that. Excellent technique paired with a tribute to one of gaming's landmark titles is an instant win! A wolf-head medallion and a $5.99 gift-code for you, sir!

5th place: Liksmaskaren

We were greatly impressed by the mood you've set for your deep forest scene. This not only looks like something taken from a classic 2D action game, but also rings a tone with the demo-scene of the olden times. Your award: a wolf-head medallion and a $5.99 gift-code for you, sir!

Congratulations to the winners!
Hi!

I'm terribly sorry for the hold-up with sending out the prizes. I was on a sick leave, but I'm on it now and I'll be contacting all the winners today.
