jcoa: It seems the update removed all cheats and replaced them with microtransactions, so gog may not be getting this at all.

...That is like a new level of scumbag behavior. Patching an old game to jam in MTs and block cheats... *headdesk*

On the other hand, it's a good idea to backup your game if GOG ends up bringing it and it replaces the older version.

Definitely a good idea for the non-galaxy users... course no clue what topware is doing with regards to GOG. Their PR sucks ass.
I know it's called Call of the Tenebrae but I wasn't expecting behaviour that shady.
The first Two Worlds will always be my favourite, wish they would update the graphics.

According to Topware support the DLC may appear on Gog somewhere down the road (semi-quote).

Ugh, I hope not.
eww... fucking trashy trashy trashy. it's amazing to me that they've decided to update a 6 year old game to include microtransactions... lol i mean what??

that said i really enjoyed two worlds 2 on ps3, hopefully this "update" does not come here.

If the devs are gonna pull cap like that I'd rather not have Call of the Tenebrae come here. It's one thing if the expansion was crap - it's another if the expansion take a dump on the rest of the game like this one is doing.

GOG had better well not go near any of that greed infested, game destroying, consumerist making, money sucking, we-paid-for-the-game-not-the-ability-to-give-you-more-money-you-complete-cash-monkey nonsense! That stuffs one step away from pay by the minute DRM, and that's just criminal!

[Slams door angrily]
<checks list of Topware titles on GOG>
Good, I have none of their games.

Not even the Earth 2150 Trilogy? It's like the X3:AP of strategy games you know :P.

Getting back on topic, I really hope this is just a crazy experiment they're doing (which will obviously fail), not a general trend they're going to apply to all the games under their umbrella...
