Thanks. I've now added a vote for the "real" one. Odd that there are two entries when they aren't two versions of the game, or two different games - the first one is just... nothing.
Balatro
Delta Force: Black Hawk Down
Pearl Harbor: Zero Hour

mqstout: Stunts (https://www.gog.com/dreamlist/game/stunts) is the first to come to mind,
avatar
Cavalary: Oh yes, that too.
Also freeware, but somewhat based on someone's word: https://forum.stunts.hu/index.php?topic=1499.0
I'm not sure it's really "freeware"; if memory serves it has some real cars/brands, like the Audi Quattro.
Heavy Metal: F.A.K.K. 2
American McGee's Alice
Tribes: Vengeance
Twisted Metal 2
Silent Hill 3

argamasa: Psygnosis classics in hands of Sony nowadays. Would be a dream if you could make a deal and bring Lemmings and Discworld saga. Also Wipeout and City of the Lost Children.
Yeah this!
Definitely, while thinking of stuff to vote for a Psygnosis theme very much emerged!

as well as the ones mentioned, Also being kept in Sony's Psygnosis forgotten war chest are
The Estatica games
Draken - Order of the Flame (and could we dare to wish for the sequel that has previously been a PS exclusive too?)
G-Police (Ditto for the PS exclusive sequel thing)
Demolition Derby games

and a bunch more!

MadalinStroe: I'm still hoping for the Kohan series. The first and sequel have among the best narratives, or possibly THE BEST narrative I've ever experienced.
avatar
Cavalary: I'd go with that too, but mainly for the mechanics. Can think of a lot of games with better narratives. Or you meant just among RTSs? (Less experience with those, but doubt it even so.)
Yes I was referring to RTSs/RTTs.

Honestly I can't think of better narratives...

As cliche as it may seem, I'm quite fond of Kerrigan's story arc throughout the Starcraft games.
And I rather liked the narrative of Homeworld 2, if you include the way it was delivered, and when it's said that it's worse story-wise than the first game (which I didn't play), I guess the series would do well.
There's the obvious big titles such as Elden Ring that go without saying. From the older games, a couple come to mind:

The Tone Rebellion: https://www.gog.com/dreamlist/game/the-tone-rebellion-1997
Ascendancy: https://www.gog.com/dreamlist/game/ascendancy
LEGO Island: https://www.gog.com/dreamlist/game/lego-island

Anything odd and obscure is also welcome.

I agree that Starcraft 1 was very good. But I found the tone of the story in Starcraft 2 to be so different from the first one, that I just hated my experience throughout. It didn't help that the writing took a nosedive with each new expansion. And that Kerrigan redemption plot... what a joke.

Homeworld, had iconic moments, I'll never forget the Garden of Kadesh and the Bentusi introduction... but as a narative... if I were to stop playing the campaign midway through(because life got in the way), I wouldn't return to it just because of the narrative.

Of course it's all down to preference, Kohan just hit hard for me.

Edit: Actually... now that I think about it, I'm remembering various other bits of story from Homeworld... I should really replay it and experience the story with my current mindset....
