Momo1991: EVIL-POST-FOIL-NINJ
You're highjacking my first attempt to give something away.
Those spared a headache will be grateful.

Thanks for the invitation, Momo. *smiling*
Here's a quandary and a half ;-p

puzzle bump
Help, where to start!
A hint:
The thread title is intentional.

edit:
Both dizcology and SirEyeball have decent intuitions about the puzzle, whether they know it or not! Up to them if they choose to share them...

"emue-hmor-ptou-gmfr"

This is what I got by the following naive guess: Pick the letter from the phrase according to the number at the end (first letter if there is no number), and if there is a *, count the letters from the last one in reverse order.

Judging the hint, the idea above is probably not right: Another possible approach seems to be to look for missing letters in the phrases. I haven't tried it yet. grimwerk's hint also suggests that, in the sense that the "a" is missing in quandary. So for example, a letter "s" may be added to the first phrase, and so on. However I have no idea what those numbers should mean - perhaps the number of letters that are missing?

Actually, probably the letters in the phrases should be re-ordered, as in, "a quandry" can be re-organized as "quandary". Still don't know what the numbers and * mean, but this now seems to be a puzzle more suited for those more familiar with English.

A little BUMP!

I have solved this one but haven't claimed the prize, so it's still up for grabs :)

discology is along the right lines and very close with something they said; if you get the principal correct then the * will make sense later, so I'd say don't worry about that for now. Those two answers are slightly different from the others but will make sense once you start solving; it's probably easier to look at other lines first using the principle of the clue in the thread title. Maybe start on a shorter one.

I have to confess I didn't work out what the bracketed numbers meant - at first I thought I understood that from the two (2) lines, but some of the other numbers didn't fit with the principle I thought they were following. But that didn't affect the solution.

Great puzzle grimwerk, thank you :)

Fetal Thrashing would be a great name for a metal band.
Thanks dizcology and Timelord for the help.

Nicely done, Timelord! Also, excellent not-too-revealing hints.

There's enough fetal thrashing around here that I couldn't pass up the clue. I'm tempted to play her some GWAR.

Wait, so did you get it?

If so, can we get a solution?

Nobody's claimed the code yet.

alright... back to working on the puzzle.

With Timelord's suggestions, perhaps some of shorter lines are:

r green fog
