I'm thinking about buying "Alien Hominind HD" as a Christmas present for a friend who loved "Castle Crashers", but frankly, when it comes to consoles I'm pretty clueless. To my knowledge it isn't sold in stores and can only be bought on XBox Live. Would it somehow be possible for me (who doesn't own an XBox) to buy a gift code or something I could present this friend with?

And has anyone played it? What do you think? How does it compare to "Castle Crashers"? Is it as hard as I heard the original version (flash/PS2) was? Is it possible to save your progress between levels? Are the new features fun?

Thanks for your help!

the eu equiv of one of these is what you need... though the 1200 points version isn't much more and would let him get some of the extras too...

Ah, I see, a gift coupon. Thanks, I'll look for it on amazon. Are you familiar with the game? What are those extras? And in case I get him the cheaper version, would he be able to get them as add-ons himself, in case he likes the game?
