It would be nice if there was a possibility to download a CD/DVD Box printable cover. IF someone buys a game he (or she) can burn it on a CD, print a cover to a box of his choice and put it on a shelf just to look how nice it looks.
That is a good idea.
I second that :).
Since we have the pdf manuals and other extras, CD/DVD covers would be nice.
Then again, all the downloads are just installers - you'd only really need the CD once.

thirded.
4th it.
Curiosity: How much difference in covers is there between countries? Aside from the rating label. A quick look on amazon, and I don't see much from US to UK and AU, but would ROW want localised versions?

I think it depends on the game. A lot are identical... but some are totally different, and some even have different games, content and names. Eg: Fahrenheit / Indigo Prophecy.
Here is a good site for CD Covers.
http://www.cdcovers.cc/search/pc/
Mobygames is, of course, another good source for such things.
Terra Nova is an example that springs to mind.
I'd like to see some kind of photo collection as a standard component of a GOG download. Whether it was a slide-show built into the installer, or just a bunch of images added in a sub-directory when you install the game, or (more likely) simply put up for download alongside the soundtracks etc.
It would really assist that whole nostalgic feeling of buying a new game back when boxes were big and pretty, and contained decent manuals! (Not to mention ye olde cloth maps, and other goodies...)

nth it.
Not too fussed about localised versions personally.
It could be a new feture? A section where the community could upload them and share them.
Oh look, it definitely is a necro adverstising plant.
Isn't there a special avatar for these things ? A vase or something ?
