Hopefully this doesn't get crazy, but...I had to share this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JvVAV09-dQ8
I have no response as such, just this.
peace. :)
Ahh, a youtube vid concerning religion. I couldn't sit through the whole thing, so I don't know if we need to invoke Poe's law or not.
I'd stay away from that kid. She might burn my mind.
I really hope that stupid bitch dies. She thinks HINDU is the wrong path because it isn't Christianity? Oh, hell no!
First Molly, you are the STEREOTYPICAL CHRISTIAN WHO FINDS ANYTHING NOT CHRISTIAN RELATED EVIL! Please explain to me this: If our 'God' created us, who the hell made him?
Secondly, you really, REALLY need to learn a little thing called TOLERANCE or you are NOT gonna survive the real world. Just because someone doesn't believe in God doesn't mean they are Satanist or whatever you wish to use. There are hundreds if not thousands of cultures in our tiny world and we are constantly at each others throat about this. I for one am Native American and Scottish, and I am not Christian. I am something of a Deist, but I also have some traits of Shamanism in my life. I feel sorry for your Indian friend Molly. In fact, I hope she never speaks to you again for being the little cunt you are.
To everyone reading this, I am very tolerant. I have friends who are gay, atheist, Hindu, lesbians, hell I can even call a few Muslims my friends. I don't EVER try to convert them like some people, and I even except their beliefs. Molly, you are not a true friend, for a true friend would not find anything wrong about someone else's beliefs and call it "The wrong path." Now please die and go to hell.
TO the person who posted this thread and video, thanks for pointing out this bitch's ignorance. You have enlightened us all. =)

rohan your ignorance is downright offensive. I demand an apology

I'm laughing my ass off at this reply. =)
+1 to you.
EDIT: Just read this comment. I loved it:
You two horribly raised, evil, white-privilege-feeling, trailer trash talking, ignorant-of-the-world, rejects-of-God's-true-love deserve to be drawn and quartered. Don't ever attempt to speak about what you two jack-asses no nothing about. You are in for a rude awakening. And, it can't come to soon.
EDIT: Did you watch the entire video?

Pffft, a Christian with any sense knows that you can't really convert someone just by talking to them. You have to go to extreme (Up to and including "Risking life and limb" extreme!) lengths to lead by example, and show by deeds that the Christian Way is actually the better way; words just hammer lessons home.
For those of you who find the above statement dubious, or if you think that the Christan Way CANNOT be effectively proven to be the better way, congratulations: you have just uncovered how hard it is to be a practical missionary, and also uncovered the reason why it's extremely difficult to turn a person who devoutly believes in one way of life to switch to another.
What the girl in the video did was just... dumb. It'd be funny if it weren't so bleeding pitiful... Here's hoping to God that the whole thing is a joke, because there are actually people dumb enough to act like this...

And we can thank the internet for collecting all the dumbest acts in one place...

When I read off that site too much it feels like my brain is trying to hurt my eyes for looking at such utterly ridiculous garbage.
To those of you saying that you can't just talk to someone to convince them your faith is the right path, I give you the example of the Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses. If door-to-door missionary work didn't get results they would not bother doing this. Of course they always go in pairs and are well-groomed on the details of their cult, which gives them an advantage over the average person, but it's certainly not out of the question. There are all sorts of books and leaflets produced for the purpose of assisting people with bringing the message of Jesus to people.

Rohan15: I really hope that stupid bitch dies. She thinks HINDU is the wrong path because it isn't Christianity? Oh, hell no!

It's quite a logical conclusion to make. You see, Christianity (like Judaism) is what is known as "monotheistic", the belief that only one god exists. This is very different from most other religions, where only a specific deity or set of deities are actively worshipped by adherents but they believe that other religions' deities are just as real as their own. Christians don't hold that view, so all other gods are false.
If all other gods are false, it logically follows that their afterlife and/or path to the afterlife are just as false. This is reinforced in the bible, where Jesus at one point describes Heaven as "my Father's house", saying the famous line "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me". Since no path but that of the Lord will get people into Heaven, all paths other than that one must therefore be the wrong path.
This exclusivity is what all Christians believe in (and Jews and Muslims too for that matter, albeit without Jesus). You can't be a Christian while also believing that other gods exist because their non-existence is a central principle. Those who claim to follow God while also following other gods are just fooling themselves, because the Bible specifically states that God is "a jealous God" and does not permit the worship of other gods; it's one of the Ten Commandments.

Rohan15: Please explain to me this: If our 'God' created us, who the hell made him?

Um... nobody made God, the whole idea is that God has been around forever and ever ("In the beginning there was God") and is not subject to the human concept of time or anything like that.

Hell is exactly what this is about. Maybe it's just me, but trying to save someone you care about from eternal suffering sure sounds like something a true friend would do; it's the spiritual equivalent of pulling them out of a burning car or jumping in front of a gunman or whatever. Molly honestly believes what she is selling; whether or not God and Heaven actually exist is another matter altogether and does not invalidate her motives.

I know the difference between Monotheism and Polytheism. I'm just saying the bitch isn't tolerant.

Tolerant? Tolerant of what? A religion she believes is founded on lies and influenced by wicked demons from the pits of Hell? That's like asking black people to be tolerant of the Ku Klux Klan. When someone honestly believes something is wholly and irreconcilably evil there is no way they will ever be "tolerant" of it. They won't necessarily run up to each and every one they see and tell them how wicked it is, but that doesn't mean they will accept it either.

Completely true. I know she is just talking about her beliefs, but so was the Hindu girl and they had no right to try and convert her.
Personally, I'm a firm believer in George Carlin's revised version of the 10 Commandments, which has above all else "Thou shalt keep thy religion to thyself". If more people actually followed this path, the world would be a much better place.

Amen, that is so true. +1 to you for that sweet truth.
