XD Well we do, we're doing the same stuff we were doing thousands of years ago, just quicker.

Humanity is a boulder rolling down a mountain, we go round and around repeating the same cycle with increasing speed until it reaches the bottom whereupon it'll crush an old lady and the news will find a way to blame computer games

Romulus: Well, Christianity isn't a religion as such, as it does not work on a merit system, where as others do. Christianity is a relationship with God via Jesus, rather than winning (insert whatever benefit) through works or deeds.

I thought the benefit was entrance to heaven by living your life a certain way?

This logic is flawed because humanity includes the old lady and the news crew reporting on the incident, so the boulder will simply crash into a hundred pieces when it reaches the bottom... because the boulder was probably too busy playing videogames to notice it was rolling down a mountain.

The benefit is knowing God, both here and in the life to come. Heaven is really just the result of being alive in Christ--the continuation of that life.
Living a certain way is not the key to heaven; it is the result of heaven. We don't get into heaven by being good; we try to be good because we want to please God, simply for the sake of pleasing him.
