It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I am trying to use the downloader to download witcher 1 and 2 over night and am having some trouble. After I open it and click add game to downloader nothing happens, I am using Google Chrome by the way. Does anyone have any ideas of how to fix this?

I think I remember having a similar problem in Firefox initially. Now I can't remember how I solved it. :(

If you don't eventually get a solution from the normally very helpful and knowledgeable user forum (hopefully you will), your best bet is to try contacting GOG support.

Maybe your firewall, antivirus or sandbox program blocked the connection? I have similar problem with Comodo Internet Security sandboxing application.
Is the downloader program open?
If using Firefox, you have to add the Gog Downloader to the Application tab in the Option menu.

yes I think doing that was what solved it for me awhile back. But I was using Firefox.

Does one need to do that for Chrome (what the OP is using)?

Yes the downloader program is open but I have also tried with it closed, my os is win 7 64bit and I am using Chrome, also I have contacted support but was hoping this might be a common error that someone could give me a quick fix for.
Can't you just download through the browser?
Have you tried disabled your firewall or antivirus for temporary?

Are there "application" preferences in Chrome as olanorig is referring to in Firefox?

If your internet connection is good, it can actually be faster to download through the browser anyway as kavazovangel suggested (I have good internet so I do all my downloading through the browser).
I downloaded through my browser now any way but thanks for the help everyone any way!
