It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

The reason the downloader will not run is because it conflicts with the previous versions.

Grab the latest downloader, do not run it:
http://files.gog.com/downloader/GOGdownloader_0_9_0_1372.zip

In the control panel, uninstall the existing GOG Downloader.

Hit ctrl + R, type in regedit and hit enter.

Browse to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > GoG.com

Right-click on the folder and delete it.

Run the new downloader.
We're working on a fix from our end for things, which we hope to have deployed shortly.
Downloader issues were resolved a few minutes ago, so the above solution is unnecessary.
I avoided being ninja'ed by about a second. Whew.

A nice feature for the downloader would be if it would show all your purchased games once logged into the downloader instead of clicking the "add to downloader" link on the gog.com site. Also, the option to download all the extra goodies from within the downloader would be great!

And slowly it will turn into steam... :P
Now seriously, those are valid ideas. Especially regarding the extras.

No, it should not turn into a shop, browser, IM, VOIP, downloader thingy like steam. Just a clean, simple downloader offering the ability to download all your purchased games without the need of "adding" them to the downloader first.

@ GameRager:

One big archive is a bad idea IMO.

GameRager: I meant a single archive for just the extras, one for each game.
Oh, sorry. Makes sense, yes.
