Profanity: I managed to grab a code for myself and everything is great, but when I get to my account page I see two Realms of Arkania (Both 1+2).

So I check my email, and I've got a letter from GoG that I got a gift code for a friend for this game and it sent me the code.

So did something bug up and that mail means that I got the game for myself (It actually includes a key) or did I somehow get two copies and one has been turned into a gift?

If GOG allows you to give away those codes and don't come after you, then you'll have some very happy recipients!
