I have fairly recently acquired a pronounced taste for dubstep - I freely admit it was the break-beat bridge of the inimitable Cezar in ESC that after a few lateral steps lead into this.

In anticipation of the Original Sin, I am replaying Divine Divinity, and was blown away how the ambient music in Dwarven Halls (or "Dwarven Clockwork" in youtube) is so bloody progressive at the turn of the millennium - the mellow beat, wobble, the syncopation - that is the very essence of dubstep!!

What do you think?

And are there any actually good dubstep sets to be had in Europe? (also feel free to PM me)

I went to a party in Zürich (headliners xKore, and particularly big like to Fourwind) just now, and while it could keep you dancing until the first trains, I felt that the dupstep element was not prominent enough.

Was this just bad luck, or is it really difficult to find full set of proper dubstep sound (excepting maybe London)?
I am more in to chillstep. My understanding its sort of sub-genre of dubstep. Never listened either live though.

Very nice, actually - listening to it as I type - thanks for posting! :-)

The sucky diesel dancer in me rejoices over the mellowness - would see this as a nice, dreamy finish at morning hours when the stamina is largely consumed. It's probably understandable that in a club it's more of a crowd-pleaser to finish off the sets reverting to a steady beat, but for me it was an anticlimax.

I still would love to see a cool dance re-mix of Dwarven Clockwork, though!
