The irony is, that personality wise Hollande is a lot more like Merkel than Sarkozy ever was.If they can find common ground issue wise, they can work a lot better together than the fabled "Merkozy" I honestly don't expect much of a change. Promises in elections are usually only valid until the ballot is cast. And when Sarkozy was elected, everybody was expecting a new "ice age" between Germany and France. Not quite what happened.
