I didn't have any problem understanding it ... plus her accent was sexy. :)

Anyway, the video wasn't as bad as I expected, but had too much ubisoft and Warren Spector. Also didn't say anything new. Stealth genre is dead, all we have (and all we will have) are bastard hybrid offsprings.
Interesting, I actually found myself strongly disagreeing with Warren Spector.
All the bigshot developers in the video talked about choice, and how giving people the option of using stealth or the option of using force is a good thing. And in theory it is. Giving people more freedom of choice should give people a better gaming experience.
But then look at where these sub-genres are different from each other and you will see the problem (note I'm intentionally not touching on games that lets you build your own character here, only about the ones with a relatively pre-defined character (so games with very minor character customization, like NOLF will still count as pre-defined)):
In order for a character to work well in an action game, it needs to be able to take some punishment, because otherwise things will turn very frustrating, very fast. You also need to be able to dish out a good amount of damage.
On the other hand, in a stealth game there has to be some major drawbacks with being seen, otherwise you have no reason to sneak past the enemies. This is usually in the form of a fragile character who can't deal with more than one or two enemies at once (unless the player is really good).

And I never found Deus Ex to be a satisfying stealth game. It was a good game, but the stealth element was not nearly on par with Thief. Human Revolution was better in this regard, but it did actually feel like the main character was more fragile than he was in the original Deus Ex.

Deus Ex 1 was stealthy but Human Revoluion does it better, but in the end hybredization sucks.

Probably less of a waste of time than reading though. You can have the video on in the background while doing something else.

Because you can read _a lot_ faster than some douche on youtube can talk.
